Senior Mechanical Engineer II

Job Responsibilities :

Research & Development

Lead all aspects of mechanical research and development, from concept creation to mass production
Drive the mechanical architecture design for computer peripheral devices


Tooling & Design for Manufacturability (DFM)

Oversee tooling release for production, ensuring designs are optimized for scalability and efficiency
Develop high-quality 3D CAD models and 2D drawings in line with Razer standards
Apply DFM and DFA principles to ensure product designs are optimized for manufacturing and assembly


Project Management

Manage mechanical engineering deliverables, including schedules, budgets, and resource planning
Track and control costs associated with BOM, tooling, jigs/fixtures, and non-recurring engineering (NRE) expenses
Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality benchmarks


Vendor & Partner Coordination

Serve as the key liaison with vendors and contract manufacturers
Guide external partners in adopting systematic engineering tools and practices such as DOE, DFMEA, geometric tolerancing, FAI, and FACA to drive quality, efficiency, and performance


Documentation & Reporting

Maintain detailed and organized technical documentation throughout the development lifecycle
Provide clear, consistent updates on project status, challenges, and engineering insights


Quality Assurance & Testing

Define, implement, and oversee rigorous mechanical testing protocols to ensure product durability and performance
Collaborate with QA teams to ensure products meet internal and regulatory standards


Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with internal teams—including design, production, and marketing—to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs across all phases of product development
Act as the go-to expert for resolving mechanical design challenges across multiple projects

Pre-Requisites :Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with 6–8 years of relevant experienceProven experience in mechanical design from concept to production, including CAD modeling, DFM/DFA, and toolingStrong knowledge of manufacturing processes, cost management, and engineering best practicesExperience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver high-quality productsExcellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
