The Opportunity

Reporting to the MEP Team Leader, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible to lead design teams for delivery of projects in the Vietnam market and potentially overseas markets.  He/She will work closely with the MEP Team Leader to ensure the continued growth of the MEP Team offering and will be responsible to take technical and commercial ownership of projects assigned

Contribute to the growth of Arup’s Mechanical Team ensuring that the Team function well with workload and the requirements of our Clients (internal and external); Take part in implementing technical project reviews ensuring high attention to QA/QC of technical deliverables;Undertake project management of large scale MEP projects;Liaise with project stakeholders including Clients, Architects, Quantity Surveyors etc;Provide technical support to the Business Development effort including bid preparation, scope monitoring and participation in technical negotiations;Participate in resource planning, ensuring a suitable resource fit for existing and potential new projects;Ensure that commercial aspects of projects are addressed and kept up to date through the use of Arup’s Project Financial Forecast (PFF) tool (training will be provided) and participation in monthly commercial meetings;Participation in senior management meetings as required;Other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Is this role right for you?

Above 13 years relevant working experience;Bachelor degree in Mechnical Engineering;Preference will be given to candidates with relevant professional qualificationsRequire professional design certificate.Require English skill (spoken & written); Knowledge and experience in the design of Data Centre and/or Distributed Energy will be an advantage. Holding relevant certificates issued by Uptime/ TIA or others recognisable international organizations in the data center industry/ high-tech industry is a significant advantage.
