We’re looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who’s ready to take the lead on complex design projects for custom packaging machinery. If you enjoy solving tough engineering problems, working with cross-functional teams, and making a real impact on how things are built and improved, this could be a great opportunity.
What You’ll Be DoingLeading mechanical design projects from start to finish, focusing on custom packaging systems.Helping the sales team with layout drawings and quotes that meet engineering specs.Working closely with manufacturing to make sure designs are practical and production-ready—this includes helping choose materials and processes.Supporting service and installation teams with technical advice, and occasionally providing on-site help.Making sure designs are easy to assemble and maintain by applying best practices.Creating and maintaining documentation like design reports, specs, and manuals.Solving packaging challenges using solid engineering principles—think stress/strain, vibration, pneumatics, and material analysis.Picking components that fit the project’s technical and physical needs.Designing with safety in mind and performing risk assessments.Developing new or custom modifications based on performance and size requirements.Working with other engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to fix issues and improve processes.Leading efforts to optimize designs and make them better over time.What You’ll NeedA bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineeringSolid understanding of manufacturing processes and industry standards for packaging machinery.Strong skills in Autodesk Inventor and Vault (or similar CAD tools).Experience designing pneumatic systems.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.67 - $50.48/hr.
