Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech **We are searching for the best talent for a Senior Mechanical Engineer role, to join our team located in Yokneam, Israel.** **Purpose:** We are seeking a **Senior Mechanical Engineer** to join our **Next Generation Product Development** team. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of systems, catheters, and rapid prototyping within our dynamic incubator environment. The ideal candidate will be a creative and experienced engineer, passionate about driving innovation in medical device development, and capable of navigating multidisciplinary challenges across mechanical, electrical, and system-level domains. You will play a pivotal role in translating cutting-edge research into practical, manufacturable solutions. This position is tailored for an innovative thinker who can challenge conventional approaches and consider the broader implications of design choices. **You will be responsible for** **:** + Lead and contribute to the design and development of mechanical components and subsystems for next-generation medical products. + Manage projects from concept through feasibility, design, prototyping, testing, and handoff to production. + Integrate mechanical design with system-level constraints including electronics, sensors, actuators, and materials. + Perform engineering analyses, simulations, and experimental validation. + Work closely with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, algorithms, and manufacturing. + Investigate and assess new technologies for potential integration into future product lines. + Background in micromechanics is highly desirable. **Qualifications and Requirements:** + M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (Ph.D. preferred). + Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in developing complex mechanical systems. + Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, dynamics, materials science, and electromechanical systems. + Experience with actuators (especially piezoelectric), sensors, or micro-mechanisms is an advantage. + Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks) and engineering simulation tools. + Excellent documentation and technical writing skills; publication or patent experience is a plus. + Fluent in English (required); knowledge of Hebrew or Russian is a plus. + Strong problem-solving skills and holistic system-level thinking. + Innovative, proactive, and self-driven. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Deep passion for technology and innovation. **\#LI-AB6** **\#LI-Hybrid**
