Job Description
Actalent is hiring a consultant to support upcoming project needs. We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to design and improve flexible electronic products tailored to meet specific customer requirements. This role involves selecting and integrating sensors, such as pressure sensors, into our systems, testing their performance, and refining designs based on results. Additionally, you will enhance product build processes by identifying and addressing manufacturing issues. While CAD work will be minimal, familiarity with SolidWorks and the ability to effectively communicate design ideas is essential. You will collaborate directly with client-side engineers, requiring strong communication and teamwork skills.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and iterate internal technology to meet customer-specific sensor integration and performance needs.Select, integrate, and test sensors with a focus on performance optimization.Understand and improve manufacturing processes, including root cause analysis and process development.Communicate design intent clearly through basic CAD and drawings.Collaborate with client-side engineers, utilizing strong interpersonal and technical communication skills.Essential SkillsMechanical engineering expertise.Proficiency in new product development and sensor design.Knowledge of sensor technology.Familiarity with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.Strong interpersonal and technical communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience designing in SolidWorks.Preferred background in robotics.Ability to drive mechanical design from concept through production.BSME and 8-10+ years of experience, or less with a master's degree in a related field.Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
