Role & Responsibilities

As a key member of the Mechanical Engineering team, you’ll be responsible for:

Designing pressure equipment to ASME BPVC Section VIII Div.1 and CSA B51. Designing piping systems under ASME B31.3 and CSA B51. Performing structural steel design using CSA S-16 and NBCC standards. Reviewing customer specifications and internal drawings for accuracy and compliance. Coordinating closely with drafting, process, and project teams to deliver on technical scope and schedule. Leading design registration submissions for pressure systems with local authorities. Providing calculations, clarifications, and reports for internal and external stakeholders. Contributing to continuous improvement of design standards and engineering procedures.

Your Background

Minimum 5 years of mechanical engineering experience in pressure equipment or structural design. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution. Registered (or eligible to register) with a Canadian engineering association; APEGA preferred. Strong command of pressure vessel and piping software; familiarity with FEA and structural tools is an asset. Able to manage multiple projects and balance technical priorities. Detail-oriented, communicative, and aligned with a culture of safety, quality, and collaboration.
