Our company is part of the community and driven to improve our future and protect our freedom. **Job Description** CEMA provides next-generation EO/IR and RF/electronic warfare products in support of our warfighters and user base across the land and up into the skies. As a CEMA mechanical Designer you will havetheopportunity to support engineering activities spanning the product lifecycle including design & development, transition to production, test equipment design and development, as well as production sustainment for complex electronics, electro-mechanical, and optomechanical designs. Candidates will work within dynamic engineering development teams collaborating and sharing knowledge with colleagues and experts from around the country in the effort to deliver the most advanced products our customers require to do their jobs! Successful candidates must possess strong technical aptitude, communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally within the hardware engineering organization and with other engineering disciplines/functions. You will be expected to exercise discretion and independent judgment in technical areas based on mechanical engineering principles and practical design & development experience. **Job Responsibilities** + Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) equipment and/or graphic tools to design and generate deliverable product definition for components, systems, portion of systems and to modify existing designs to develop or improve production. + Utilize PTC Creo Parametric 7.0 or higher and Windchill 11.0 or higher, after training if needed + Support mechanical, electro-mechanical and opto-mechanical hardware design efforts from conceptual layouts through detailed design release + Conduct design trade studies, volume packaging and tolerance analysis + Plan, execute, develop, release and control of product definition data (engineering models and drawings) + Partner with business team members and engineering teams to develop mutually agreeable design specifications and ensure they are met on final product + Partner with technicians in the generation and assembly of prototype/engineering hardware and test equipment + Create, maintain and update engineering records and files as appropriate + Execute comprehensive design process including conceptual development, physical design, support to procurement and manufacturing + Utilize standard manufacturing practices for the efficient fabrication of mechanical components and opto/electro/mechanical assemblies + Effectively perform in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment + Perform Drawing and Model Change Orders (ECO, ECR, ECN, etc.) + Perform other related duties as assigned Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance + Associate s degree in mechanical CAD design, or related field, anda minimum of10 years related work experience or equivalent experience + Electro-Mechanical Packaging experience **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Previous EO/IR Experience + Experience in RF/Electronic Warfare Products + Proficient using PTC Creo Parametric 7 or higher and Windchill 11.0 or higher + Strong understanding of GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5 + Comprehension of Military Standards and ASME Standards **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
