Summary: Seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to create mechanical/electrical/electronic designs, compile Bills of Materials, and assist in prototype assembly using CAD systems.
Job Requirements:
Associate degree or equivalent
6+ years of experience in the field or related area
US Citizenship with eligibility for DoD Secret Clearance
Experience with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Creo
Familiarity with ASME Y14.100, ASME Y14.5, and MIL-STD-3100
Preferred Skills:
Circuit Card Assembly and Printed Circuit Board layout experienceJob Responsibilities:
Create designs for new product parts and assemblies using CAD or manual systems
Compile Bills of Materials; assist in prototype assembly
Draw multiple views; identify dimensions, tolerances, materials; prepare documentation and Engineering Change Orders
Assist in building/acquiring prototypes; test and analyze results; make calculations for strength of materials, weights, forces, and stresses
Analyze proposed changes for fit/interference problems; recommend solutions; modify drawings as needed
Provide technical assistance to less experienced drafters; verify accuracy of work
Maintain CAD equipment by performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs as required
Maintain technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networks, and professional societies
Pay Details: $95,000.00 to $105,000.00 per year
