**Job Description Summary** The successful candidate(s) will be a Senior Materials Engineer for nondestructive testing and evaluation technologies for Wind Turbine products. **Job Description** **Roles and Responsibilities** + Maintain material and special process specifications for nondestructive test methods and procedures. + Work with suppliers to interpret specifications/standards and optimize production methods/techniques. + Review supplier and service provider NDT procedures and techniques to ensure compliance with codes, standards and specifications. + Service projects support – NDT process development for field inspection and validation. Interface with services teams and 3rd parties to develop field procedures. + Work with RCA teams, suppliers, 3rd parties, and field teams to establish requirements (equipment and processes) for inspection. + Drive conversations between sourcing, engineering, and suppliers to optimize NDT (cost/benefit trade-offs). + Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and standard work. + Identify technology development opportunities for growth and investment. + Provide engineering estimation of NDT examination performance for factory and in-service test conditions. **Required Qualifications** + Minimum of a BS degree in relevant Science or Engineering field (Materials, Physics, Mathematics, Mechanical). + Minimum 7 years experience with non-destructive test methods and procedures. + Minimum 10 years engineering experience. + Fluency in English + Ability and availability to travel (international and domestic) as needed (more than 30%) **Desired Characteristics** + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Hands on experience with NDT methods for volumetric (UT) and surface (MPI, PT) inspection. Proficiency in common NDT methods for metals.
