Senior Marketing Manager
Overview: 

We are looking for a strategic and results-driven marketing professional to lead efforts in acquiring new customers for our Retail Deposits business. This role is central to shaping and executing marketing strategies that drive growth in consumer deposit products, focusing primarily on customer acquisition, with opportunities to influence broader enterprise initiatives.

With deep expertise in retail banking and a strong understanding of customer acquisition, this individual will work closely with cross-functional partners across Product, Digital, Analytics, and Distribution to deliver impactful, data-informed marketing programs.

Primary Responsibilities:Develop and execute marketing strategies that attract new customers and grow core deposit balances, aligned with the strategic goals of the Consumer Bank.Collaborate with internal partners to identify target segments, refine value propositions, and optimize acquisition journeys across digital and traditional channels.Use data and insights to inform campaign design, targeting, and performance measurement, ensuring marketing efforts are efficient and effective.Shape the vision and roadmap for deposit acquisition marketing, incorporating industry best practices and emerging trends.Build strong working relationships across Marketing, Product, Digital, and Compliance to ensure alignment and successful execution of initiatives.Contribute to the development of scalable marketing processes and frameworks that support growth and operational excellence.Represent the bank in select external forums to gather insights and enhance visibility in the market.Foster a collaborative, inclusive environment that reflects the M&T Bank brand and values.Ensure all marketing activities adhere to regulatory, risk, and compliance standards, escalating issues as appropriate.Support the development of future talent and capabilities within the marketing function through mentorship and knowledge sharing.Perform other related duties as assigned.Managerial/Supervisory Responsibilities:

Leads a team of individual contributors or Managers.

Education and Experience Required:Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field9  years of Marketing experience or relevant experience(Or in lieu of a degree, a combination of 13 years of higher education and relevant experience)3 years of team leadership experienceSignificant experience in marketing strategy and execution, with a focus on customer acquisition in financial servicesStrong understanding of consumer behavior, competitive dynamics, and regulatory considerations in the banking industry.Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives, influence stakeholders, and drive measurable outcomes in a cross-functional environment.Proficiency in leveraging data and analytics to inform marketing decisions and optimize performance.Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.Education and Experience Preferred:MBA or other Master's Degree

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $130,840.95 - $218,068.25 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
