The Corporate Market Risk Group (CMRG) within Market and Counterparty Risk Management (MCRM) is responsible for providing independent identification, monitoring, and credible challenge of market risks across Wells Fargo Corporation. Market risk officers work closely with multiple lines of business and CIB business partners, including Risk Analytics, Technology, Finance and Operations. Team members are responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of all market risk measurements, including risk factor sensitivities, Value-at-Risk (VaR) and stress scenarios.
This role is part of the International Market Risk Oversight team, and you will:
Utilize market risk measures such as Value-at-Risk (VaR), stress scenarios and risk factor sensitivities to monitor, report and constrain market risk exposures originating from the covered business. Provide effective and robust oversight of market risk for APAC region, with timely, accurate and consistent risk reporting including communications of risk concentrations, market risk limit usage and sources of trading profit/loss for the businesses.Prepare periodic market risk reports / deliverables for international and regional governance or discussion forums, and contribute to regional and entity risk assessments, as needed.Adequately maintain the artifacts for limit breach management, trade approvals, mandate approvals, and other daily risk management tasks.Close collaboration and coordination with other geographic locations' Market Risk Oversight teams and other stakeholders on APAC related issues.Provide and assist in ad-hoc data analysis to review and ensure effectiveness of our risk deliverables, e.g. scenario applicabilities, SVaR reasonableness.Analyze complex models and products to ensure comprehensive market risk capture, consistent with the market risk mandate and higher-level risk management policies.Deliver close and collaborative communication with business in region and other stakeholders, including providing robust challenge where appropriate.Participate in recurring regulatory and risk management engagements such as monthly reporting, annual survey, and annual risk assessment.Engage with other Market Risk Oversight team members and CIB business partners to ensure sufficient market risk support for new business initiatives. Demonstrate the keen ability to escalate the critical trading risk, market stress, and portfolio vulnerabilities to the international MRO head in a timely manner.Provide backup, as appropriate, for other members of the international MRO team.Required Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: trading, desk analyst, Capital Markets, market risk, interest rate risk or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: trading, capital markets, market risk, interest rate risk, or foreign exchange risk.Experience working with a broad range of capital markets business partners including trading, quantitative partners, finance, operations and technology, to complete shared business objectives.Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and work under pressure in a dynamic and fast-paced working environmentStrong understanding of derivative pricing models and risk measurement calculations such as Value-at-Risk (VaR), stress scenarios and risk factor sensitivities.
