Responsibilities Provide technical support and documentation design, develop, and evaluate the operation of marine vessels, ship machinery, and related equipment, to include, but not limited to: power supply and propulsion systems.Research and develop ship propulsion systems, to include, but not limited to: diesels, gas turbines, diesel-electric systems, propellers, rudders, thrusters, gears, shafts, bearings, seals, noise, vibration, and interfaces with dynamic positioning systems, and apply to applicable design and requirements.Develop system documentation and ship specifications.Design, develop and evaluate operation of marine vessels, shipboard propulsion machineryReview and develop technical data packagesProvide oversight on development of machinery arrangementsConduct and oversee trade studies.Provide knowledge of ABS, NVR, and commercial ship design rules and regulations.
