ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the production process in a manufacturing environment and designs, develop and implement new or revised production process to ensure quality and efficiency for the mass production of goodsDevelop and improve manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of product design, assembly techniques and quality controlsResearch, specify and implement process control procedures and equipment that improve production efficiency and support manufacturing objectives. Plan, develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing methods, processes, and operations for new and existing products. Recommend sequence of operations, equipment, and utilization to ensure the effective use of materials, equipment and personnel in producing quality products.Drive continuous improvement activities as identified by the organizationParticipate in the investigation and response to customer quality excursionsMentor and Train junior engineering staffIdentify assembly design improvements and initiate ECO’s to drive design changes of the productEmbrace and follow the standard work practices developed for Manufacturing EngineeringDevelop complete and accurate documentation of existing manufacturing processes as well as new product introductionsAssure product and process quality by designing testing methods, establishing standards and validating manufacturing processDevelop job aids which include tooling, fixtures and visuals by working with internal resources as well as external vendorsEvaluate work cell layouts to improve manpower utilization, workflow and floor space utilizing Lean techniques

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

Detail-oriented, self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills.  The successful candidate will have a proven ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently in a dynamic environment.  The required qualifications are as follows:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or Related Engineering Technology degree5- 10 years experience in manufacturing engineering

PREFERRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

Proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteWorking knowledge of AutoCad or SolidWorksSAP experience desiredSPC experience desiredFluent English
