Work Flexibility: Onsite

As the Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will support Instruments production by developing, evaluating, implementing, and sustaining manufacturing methods, operation sequences, and processes that ensure products are built to meet both quality and production targets on the manufacturing line. This is an onsite position in Kalamazoo, MI.

What You Will Do:

Directly support a Stryker production lineDrive efficiency and process flow enhancements, resulting in cost savingsEvaluate blueprints for the processing of parts in order to ensure manufacturabilityIdentify and manage cost reduction projects in support of goalsIdentify and implement ergonomic and safety improvements in the manufacturing environmentSupport new product development and ensure a smooth transition into operationsIdentify sources of waste in production and implements changes that drive cost, quality and deliveryPartner with operations, materials, advanced operations, product engineering and other groups to solve manufacturing issues and drive customer satisfactionBe committed to quality by striving for reliability and quality in our products, continuously researching ways to enhance performance

 

What You Need:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar discipline2+ years of related experienceSound problem solving skillsExperience with manufacturing processes: Ultrasonic/laser welding, silicone injection molding, leak testing, packagingExperience with low volume but highly complex products, preferred Experience working in a highly regulated industry, preferredExperience with GD&T, preferredContinuous improvement/Lean/Six Sigma experience, preferred
