Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Under the supervision of Technical Services Manager, responsible for the continuous running of equipment and machinery in industrial settings. Using computerization systems, you'll oversee routine maintenance and organize repairs. You'll also be involved with control and monitoring devices and occasionally in the manufacture of items that will help in maintenance.

Your role is vital to the efficiency, development and progress of manufacturing and processing industries. Working with other professionals, you'll improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel and production processes.

1.Interacts with production management to supervise the daily operations of the     team, including but not limited to establishing mutual goals, assigning tasks and maintaining schedules.

2.Planning maintenance strategies, procedures and methods.

3.Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults.

4.Diagnose breakdown problems.

5.Install the new parts and ensure and instruct that the equipment operates correctly.

6.liaise with client departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues.

7.Lead in-depth product and process failure investigations to determine   root causes of failures and to implement effective and preventive actions.

8.Establishes and teaching equipment and process qualification/ validation protocols.

9.Obtaining quotations from specialist suppliers for fixtures, fittings and components.

10.Control maintenance tools, stocks and equipment.

11.Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.

12.Plan annual maintenance and secure inventory of spare parts.

13.Improve health and safety policies and procedures.

14.Work with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), which control machinery on factory assembly lines.

15.Write a maintenance plan to help with installation and commissioning guidelines.

16.Ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of    breakdowns.

17.Must be familiar with GMP/QMS regulations and the application of such in the workplace.

18.Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet the goals. 

19.External interaction is typically with suppliers, vendors. May work with external companies or vendors to resolve routine problems and/or facilitate work flow.

20.Provide technical guidance.

21.Other duties as assigned.
