Eaton’s Electrical Critical Power Solutions Operations division is currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Raleigh, NC to be part of the RPO systems test team, responsible for implementing Lean Manufacturing concepts, including Value Stream Map evaluation of current state production opportunities and the implementation of future state throughout all areas of operations. Relocation benefits will be provided for candidates within the US.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $83250.0 - $122100.0 a year.

What you’ll do:• Initiate, develop and manage large capital projects including test and manufacturing equipment, facility enhancements and new product start-ups
• Communicate closely with CPS engineering team to understand all critical requirements of new test infrastructure
• Evaluate current and future state manufacturing and Test processes and ensures that sound engineering and manufacturing principles are being followed
• Manage test technician(s) and electrician(s) to complete preventative maintenance, maintenance, and new test infrastructure projects
• Provide coaching, motivation, and counseling to employees to encourage optimum performance and continued skill development
• Implement Lean Manufacturing concepts, including Value Stream Map evaluation of current state production and test opportunities and the implementation of future state throughout all areas of operations
• Recommends changes to existing manufacturing processes to improve manufacturing productivity and improve lean flow of materials
• Document manufacturing and test processes with work instructions
• Generate and implement Engineering and Manufacturing Change Orders enhancing product quality and reducing product cost
• Drive continuous improvement on the shop floor, including opportunities to improve Quality, Productivity, and cost reduction
• Perform as Site Responsible Person for Electrical Safety ensuring NFP70E standards are achieved throughout test areas.
• Prioritize safety and repeatability of existing processes, addressing identified concerns
• Perform Red Badge Training for all Eaton qualified electrical workers.
• Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork
• Drive NPI test and custom activities including layouts, materials, costing and Bill of Materials
• Perform all other duties as assigned
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited educational institution
• 3 years’ experience in engineering, manufacturing engineering or test engineering
• 1+ years of AutoCAD experience and required working knowledge and experience with computers
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
• Engineering Degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited educational institution
• Experience with SAP system in material setup
• Demonstrated experience in design and layout of manufacturing or electrical lab spaces.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
• Knowledge of a wide variety of manufacturing processes including assembly and pull systems.
• Technical understanding and experience with Lean Manufacturing Systems and Six Sigma methodology.
• Ability to think strategically and see big picture in dynamic business environment
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment; to communicate articulately and professionally across many organizational levels and functions
• Highly motivated, works with a sense of urgency, driven to add value and deliver results
