Senior Manufacturing Electrical Engineer
Job Description Insight Global is partnering with a leading medical device design and manufacturing organization to hire a Senior Manufacturing Electrical Engineer. This individual will play a pivotal role in transitioning externally sourced PCBAs to internal manufacturing, supporting both strategic initiatives and hands-on troubleshooting efforts. The engineer will lead technical reviews of PCBAs and fabrication packages, approve design files, and troubleshoot electrical issues during initial builds and new product introductions. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, planning, and manufacturing teams to resolve electrical failures, optimize designs, and guide production readiness. The position will involve a balanced mix of computer-based engineering tasks and hands-on support within internal manufacturing operations. Skills and Requirements - Minimum of 8 years of Electrical Engineering experience - Strong understanding of PCBA design and manufacturing processes - 4 years of hands-on experience with Altium, including proficiency in Gerber and ODB++ file formats - 4+ years of experience working directly with PCBAs - Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments - Proficiency with electrical troubleshooting tools such as Digital Multimeter (DMM), Oscilloscope, and Function Generator - Ability to assess and replace obsolete or long lead-time components by comparing technical specifications - Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, and technician teams - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field - Experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., medical devices) - Prior work experience at a manufacturing company - Familiarity with BOM analysis and supply chain risk mitigation - Exposure to automation and testing development
