Job Overview

The locational SPOC for EY’s Family Office Practice will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the relationship with location specific family offices. This individual should have a broad understanding of Indian Accounting Standards (related to accounting entries, books of accounts), Indian regulatory framework and compliance (RBI), SEBI, company secretarial matters and direct and indirect tax.


 Your Key Responsibilities

Have a PoV and general understanding of financial operations and direct financial planning and structure for family offices. Having client conversations related to compliances, including Indian Accounting Standards (related to accounting entries), tax and regulatory compliances, company secretarial related compliances and matters related to regulatory compliances. Understand MIS reporting systems, budgets, forecasts. Provide strategic recommendations to family office principals on financial matters. Coordinate with external auditors, relevant consulting teams and regulatory bodies to advise on compliance with all financial and legal requirements of the Family Office clients. Understand and work to engage with Family Offices/ principals on Digital Technology tools.


Skills and attributes

To qualify for the role you must have

Chartered Accountant (preferred). Alternatively, a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (master’s degree preferred). 10–12 years of experience as a Financial Controller in an Indian promoter led organisation or handling family office matters, preferably for Indian promoters. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation. Experience in leading and managing teams.  Working knowledge of Tally, other financial software, and MS Office Suite.
