**Role Definition**
Leads a team responsible for managing the end-to-end order-to-delivery supply chain, ensuring the availability of essential commodities to support manufacturing or distribution operations. Develops, implements, and oversees supply chain strategies and solutions.
**Responsibilities**
+ Direct Reports include Purchasing Manager, Supply Chain Process Manager, Supply Chain Planning Manager, Material Requirements and Inventory Manager, Demand and Orders Manager, Supply Chain Performance Manager and Supply Chain Manager. The incumbent provides dotted line leadership for non-supply chain Logistics Manager, when applicable.
+ This position provides leadership and direction to supply chain teams responsible for the management of all facility supply functions in alignment with the Order-to-Delivery SAI and the Velocity CSF. The incumbent ensures that the supply chain divisions manage supply chain processes aligned with the CPS Supply Chain Process Manual and adherence to the CPS Supply Chain Rules. Collaborate with Product Managers to create a competitive advantage for our customers and the enterprise by developing, optimizing, and integrating supply base, while delivering local service excellence.
+ Supply chain control includes supply chain processes, planning, supplier development, material requirements, inventory management, demand and orders management, supply chain performance and planning. Incumbent leads efforts for a Product Distribution Center.
+ As a member of the Business Unit Leadership Team, incumbent provides input to business unit goals and strategy development. Incumbent is accountable for development of the supply chain organizational design, supplier development, key enterprise inventory metrics, point of use material availability, prime product availability, service parts availability and reduction of cash-to-cash cycle time.
+ Incumbent is accountable for supplier development - utilizing the QCLDM supplier development and measurement tool the incumbent will ensure an ongoing improvement plan is in effect with key suppliers. This will require relationship building at senior levels with the suppliers that encourage trust, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Cost modeling both geographic and component based will be used extensively and will require a strong knowledge of Macroeconomics and well as component costing. Through a strong knowledge of the category the incumbent will set and sustain strategy. Lead teams to fully understand the requirements and performance of the supply base.
+ Incumbent ensures facility production schedules provide proper product availability to dealers/customers while balancing manufacturing constraint issues. This position leads to facility Sales and Operations Planning, ensuring robust process conformance. Works with product managers to ensure supply chain strategies and supplier sourcing plan are developed and aligned with worldwide sourcing strategies to meet global demand on machine and service parts through managing the whole chain of order to delivery.
+ Incumbent is accountable for supply chain performance improvements, including supplier performance for machine and service parts and the supplier S&OP process. Works closely with relevant functional areas and assigns resources to supply chain performance improvement projects.
+ Incumbent managing department resources, providing focus, motivation and encouragement to direct reports. This position is responsible for coaching, developing and mentoring department resources. The incumbent is responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluation of direct reports, including development, capability building and succession planning. It leads efforts to improve communications and align logistics and manufacturing activities.
+ Internal customers include department employees, operations and business resource managers in the division and other partner units.
+ External contacts include various customers and vendors throughout Caterpillar’s worldwide business units and markets.
**Degree Requirement:**
+ Bachelor´s Degree in Logistics, Business or related to the field

**Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP):**
+ Oversee plant production scheduling in relation to orders.
+ Assess synchronization between product demand and production capacity.
+ Participate in work sequencing to meet critical delivery deadlines.
+ Help define reorder parameters, minimum/maximum levels, and lead/job days.
+ Coordinate capacity and materials planning within the planning horizon.
+ Adjust plans based on sales forecasts, customs, and demand-driven orders.
**Supplier Management – Manufacturing**
+ Facilitates supplier partnerships that balance risk and reward.
+ Monitors supplier performance and resolves discrepancies.
+ Develops and enforces supplier quality standards.
+ Builds and maintains relationships with key suppliers.
+ Manages supplier issues and terminations in coordination with legal teams.
+ Ensures compliance with reporting and documentation requirements.
**Inventory Management**
+ Overseas daily inventory operations across facilities or supply networks.
+ Establish benchmarks to enhance inventory management processes.
+ Ensure inventory levels meet internal and external requirements.
+ Provides guidance on inventory practices for specific product lines or locations.
+ Apply systems to identify and coordinate inventory needs and resolve conflicts.
+ Analyzes inventory reports to identify and address issues.
**Logistics Management**
+ Designs and evaluates logistics plans impacting production, distribution, and inventory.
+ Enhance planning processes through continuous improvement and project planning.
+ Implement systems to track shipment status, transit locations, and delivery timelines.
+ Navigates regulatory and practical aspects of domestic freight.
+ Participates in contract negotiations and manages carrier relationships.
+ Advises on major planning processes and operational requirements.

**Additional Information:**
+ Location: Santa Catarina, Nuevo Leon.
+ This position is five-day a week in-office model.
+ This position will require travelling 25% working time (Domestic and International).
