Senior Manager Strategic Controlling (m/f/d)
This function relates to Capital Investments finance support within FME Care Enablement. It comprises the business areas Manufacturing and Supply Chain (“MSC”), In-Center, Home and Critical Care and Commercial. Strategic Controlling manages the controlling support for all projects of strategic relevance for Care Enablement (CE) as well as the relevant systems and interfaces in compliance with applicable rules and regulations. The activities range from project planning, preparation and evaluation to project approval and the follow-up of investment projects. They include investment planning, projections, and actual reporting. **Your tasks:** + Coordination and participation in the preparation of business plans, investment calculations and presentations for investment projects in FME Care Enablement in close cooperation with the respective Finance Business Partners and project managers + Analysis and evaluation of business plans and investment proposals, in particular investment calculations in CE, partly as a member of cross-functional teams: + Ensuring the necessary quality, governance, and compliance regulations + Evaluation of financial profitability as a basis for strategic decisions, e.g. for expansion or production network projects, make-or-buy decisions, benchmarking of MSC locations ("footprint projects") + Preparation of multi-year manufacturing cost projections in close cooperation with MSC Finance Business Partners ("FBPs") of the production sites in compliance with the current manufacturing cost calculation guidelines. + Development and organization of the CE capex management process (budget planning, projection, actual reporting, approval process, project documentation and tracking) in alignment with the Head of Strategic Controlling + Support the Head of Strategic Controlling in the definition, further development and implementation of standards, guidelines and tools/systems (e.g. introduction of new requirements, investment tracking) in coordination with involved functions, corporate departments. + Introduction of Finance Business Partners and Project Managers to capital governance at FME. First contact for all questions regarding capital governance process. + Coordination of the annual project review of CE investment projects that have been approved by the Management Board. + Contribute to the organization and implementation of the Care Enablement Investment Committee ("CE IC") meetings, including preparation and follow-ups. + Close cooperation with local and regional CE FBPs and project managers as well as management of interfaces to related functions such as Global Real Estate, Tax, Legal + Promotion and continuous improvement of cross-functional and cross-departmental communication and professional exchange. **Your profile:** + Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Engineering, preferably with focus on controlling + 7+ years of professional experience in a similar field of activity, e.g. in production or operational controlling in an international manufacturing corporation + Experience in creating, analyzing, and assessing business plans and investment calculations; knowledge of the FME product portfolio and key manufacturing processes/technologies. + Proven experience in managing cross-functional and cross-cultural teams + Proficiency in MS Office, BI solutions, and planning tools/systems + Strong analytical thinking, influencing skills, and ability to structure complex matters, present them clearly, and describe results in a goal-oriented manner + Structured, methodical, and goal-oriented working style with high customer orientation + Strong communication skills, diplomatic demeanor, executive presence, strong team spirit, and intercultural competencies + Fluent in English (additional languages advantageous) + Willingness to travel occasionally
