Description Senior Manager, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Role Overview This leader will drive the integrity of external reporting and guide the organization through complex technical accounting matters. You'll shape scalable accounting policies, manage equity-related accounting, and partner across the business to ensure transparent, audit-ready disclosures. The role requires a blend of technical depth, operational judgment, and cross-functional influence. Key Responsibilities Technical Accounting & Policy Leadership + Serve as the primary advisor on technical accounting topics, including business combinations, lease arrangements, impairments, commissions, derivatives, and equity-based compensation + Draft and maintain comprehensive technical accounting memos that meet U.S. GAAP and audit standards + Design, implement, and oversee global accounting policies to ensure consistency across teams and jurisdictions + Evaluate new accounting guidance, determine organizational impact, and lead adoption efforts External Reporting & Compliance + Lead preparation and review of quarterly and annual SEC filings, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, 8-Ks, Proxy statements, and related XBRL work + Partner with Legal, Tax, FP& A, Investor Relations, and other teams to ensure disclosures are complete, accurate, and aligned + Support external auditors through timely documentation, strong communication, and a robust internal control environment + Maintain and strengthen SOX compliance related to reporting processes and technical accounting areas Equity & Stock-Based Compensation + Oversee all accounting and reporting for stock-based compensation programs and equity activity + Ensure calculations, valuations, and disclosures are accurate and timely Process Improvement & Team Development + Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and technical accounting workflows, using tools such as Workiva and NetSuite + Lead automation and optimization initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency + Mentor, coach, and develop team members to elevate technical capabilities and support career growth Requirements • Proven experience in SEC financial reporting and compliance, including handling Form 10-K and Form 10-Q filings. • Strong knowledge of financial systems such as Workiva and NetSuite. • A CPA qualification and prior experience with a Big 4 accounting firm are essential. • Expertise in technical accounting areas, including stock-based compensation, derivatives, and business combinations. • Familiarity with U.S. GAAP standards and ability to create audit-ready documentation. • Demonstrated ability to manage global accounting policies and ensure regulatory adherence. • Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams such as Tax, Legal, and FP& A. • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on mentoring and team development.
