This position has a hybrid setup with approximately 3 days per week on site.
**Tasks & responsibilities**
+ In your new role, you will support the general execution of strategic and operational matters of the CI Leadership Team, as a member of the CI Program Management Office to drive related operations and business outcomes.
+ As the anchor of cross-functional strategic R&D initiatives, you will guide project steering together with initiative owners and support scientific delivery by developing and driving implementation of plans and frameworks, and provide regular overviews and drive reporting of outcomes.
+ You will coordinate project portfolio management by implementing frameworks and concepts for planning & reporting to support strategic steering of our scientific investments, including tracking of high-priority strategic goals.
+ Furthermore, you will connect high-level scientific and business content and strategic directions to enable decision-making and representation of Computational Innovation in the Boehringer ecosystem and towards senior management through insights and presentations.
+ You will work collaboratively across the global CI organization, but also with our partners in Innovation, interacting with all groups to identify, prioritize, and address needs related to execution of strategy and operations, and proactively gather information, and share it in accordance with the departmental plans.
+ Finally, you will serve as key contact for relevant activities of the CI department in the Boehringer environment, towards internal and other stakeholders and partners.
**Requirements**
+ Postgraduate degree in the life sciences/biomedical field with long term experience in strategy consulting or similar role
+ Experience in drug development and pharmaceutical R&D business processes
+ Strong affinity for data-driven science and computational biology or experience in computational science
+ Proven track record of project management, organizational skills, problem-solving and analytical capabilities
+ Excellent presentation and communication skills to convey complex concepts, with ability to set directions and drive change
+ Proactive mindset and ability to interact collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and priority stakeholders
