Senior Manager of Total Rewards

Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Total Rewards is responsible for providing functional and team leadership in the areas of compensation, benefits, leaves of absence and compliance. This role will support Troon’s growth strategy by partnering with leadership on property transitions and mergers and acquisitions; lead Total Rewards and cross functional projects; support Total Rewards systems and communications initiatives; and ensure Troon is operating Total Reward programs in a compliant manner.

 

Responsibilities:

Provides leadership to assigned staff, including hiring, training, development and performance management. Collaborates with HR, Payroll, Business Systems, and Finance teams. Acts as internal consultant for management and HR staff. Serves as subject matter expert regarding compensation and/or benefits policies, programs and communications. Manages job architecture initiatives, including development and management of job descriptions. Recommends salary ranges using market survey data and other tools.  Conducts internal compensation comparisons for equity and compression. Conducts market pricing and compensation data analysis to assess market competitiveness. Participates on behalf of Troon in total rewards related surveys. Manages the administration and enablement of the Compensation Management solution to ensure we achieve maximum return on investment. Supports the VP, Total Rewards and the CHRO with property transitions and merger & acquisition initiatives. Manages benefit and compensation consultants, partners and vendors to ensure maximum service levels are delivered. Manages the retirement plan administration including overseeing the vendor partnerships ensuring strong customer service to Troon and our associates, plan compliance, supporting the Benefits and Retirement Plan Management Committee, and leading audits and filings (i.e. 5500) by partnering with external auditors and service providers. Oversees leave administration and ADA systems and processes, ensuring proper handling of requests and compliance. Partners with HR Leadership and the field HR Operations staff to manage the organization’s leave of absence and disability programs. Manages escalated inquiries and provides efficient and courteous resolutions. Leads the creation and on-going management of Total Rewards data analytics, reporting and metrics. Collaborates with the VP Total Rewards on benefits selection, vendor negotiations, and renewals. Serves on or may lead cross-functional teams to support total rewards strategy (e.g., compensation studies, work-life initiatives, talent management, recognition, etc.). Maintains and updates process documentation for managing enrollments and vendor files within the HCM system. Remains knowledgeable and ensures compliance with Total Rewards related federal and state regulations including ACA, ERISA, FLSA, FMLA, ADA. Maintains a compliance calendar and supports the senior leader to ensure all compliance requirements are achieved successfully and timely. Performs other duties as required.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with 8+ years of compensation and benefits experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 3 years of prior leadership experience. Experience with UKG or equivalent HR system and subscription-based Compensation Management solutions. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, importing text files). Prior experience with total rewards data analysis and reporting, including analysis and deductive reasoning skills. Familiarity with accounting and financial terms related to total rewards analysis. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.

 

Certificates/Licenses:

Senior/Professional in Human Resources (SPHR/PHR), GHR, and/or CCP or CBP preferred.
