Which Fulfillment Center do we ship the items from, what carriers to use, what boxes to combine items in - now scale the same question to billions of items shipped annually worldwide. At Amazon's Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT), we are tasked with optimizing the fulfillment on customer orders so that we fulfill all orders worldwide in the most intelligent manner while ensuring Amazon customers get their orders on time.
The Fulfillment Network Planning team owns and operates simulation systems that help continually optimize the distribution of tens of millions of products across Amazon’s warehouses in the most cost-effective manner, utilizing artificial intelligence, large scale optimization techniques and distributed computing in trying to reduce overall transportation costs while improving the customer experience. We are focused optimizing inventory and shipments to customers under the uncertainty of demand, pricing and supply.

- You have had success recruiting, managing and developing a geographically and technically diverse group of world class individuals.
- You embrace an agile approach to software development, and can recommend improvements in development, maintenance and system standards.
- You have consistently driven improvements and work hard to identify true root causes of systemic issues and fix them the first time.
- You can write and present effectively. You have proven experience with authoring project plans, root cause analyses, and team development documents.
- You take the time to learn about your customers’ businesses and ensure that your team is aligned with those priorities.

The Fulfillment Network Planning organization owns and operates AI, Optimization and Simulation systems to guide capacity planning for Amazon's outbound fulfillment network. The org is currently spread across the United States (Austin, Seattle) and Europe (London, Luxembourg and Barcelona), and is multi-disciplined comprising of research science, business intelligence, product management and software development. Come join us as we fundamentally redesign our approach to Amazon first-party fulfillment.
