A THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE: As an MP&I Manager, you will utilize your financial and analytical expertise to drive the enterprise and category plplanning and inventory strategies forward. You will lead, coach, and develop the category MP&I team through financial, inventory, operational excellence, effective internal and external collaboration while creating a culture of trust and high-performance. You will be an instrumental partner to Ulta Beauty’s brand partners and internal partners (merchants, FP&A, supply chain & others) as you share data driven insights, financial and inventory plans and future business opportunities to impact short- and long-term financial and operational strategies. CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, execute and communicate omni-channel financial and inventory management strategies that achieve the objectives and KPIs of the division and/or category. Communicates direction on total enterprise tops-down planning process and reviews, assesses and adjusts bottoms-up planning for forecast accuracy and alignment with the enterprise objectives in collaboration with FP&A, Supply Chain and Merchants. Oversees the management of inventory for the category and provides recommendations to inform decisions on end-to-end product lifecycle. Partner with Merchants, Supply Chain and Brand Partners to develop strategies to improve inventory metrics. Partner with DMM on category objectives and strategies by offering valuable forward-looking risk and opportunities and performance data and insights that drive financially sound decisions to achieve sales, margin and inventory goals Leads the category planning and inventory team. Communicates management direction, supports team with prioritization. Holds team accountable to lead with a solution-oriented mindset and deliver quality and timely decisions. Foster a team culture that is results-oriented and exemplifies a team mentality that aligns to Ulta Beauty’s Values, Mission and Vision Partners across the enterprise to continuously improve through pro-active solutioning and championing new business initiatives/change management that supports Ulta’s growth and competitive edge. THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS: Seasoned professional with 8+ years of relevant experience in merchandising planning, supply chain, financial planning, buying and/or inventory; history of increasing responsibility Multiple category and/or channel experience required Leadership experience (2+ years) of leading multiple direct reports in a high-performance culture Demonstrated experience of displaying financial and analytical aptitude and metrics (sales, margin, turn) Continuous improvement advocate, demonstrated experience leading initiatives to improve team and departmental processes Track record of building credible relationships internally and externally Effective communication with the ability to attentively listen, adjust message/tone to audience and provide pro-actively and timely information Ability to direct the work of a team, provide clear direction and delegation, distribute work decisions appropriately, monitor progress and plan/prioritize for self and team Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to quickly adapt based upon the needs of the business Strong attention to detail, ensures high quality and accuracy Solution oriented mindset that is followed through by action Sees the possibilities and moves self and team into the future with clear intentions and purposeful actions Has a strong bottom-line orientation and pushes self and others to achieve results Calculated risk-taker, leads by example, and encourages others to follow suit Encourages the open expression of diverse ideas and opinions #LI-CO1 The pay range for this position is $119,300.00 - $158,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
