Senior Manager Marketing and Communications Specialist
**40006BR** **Requisition ID:** 40006BR **Business Unit:** COR **Job Description:** Job Objective Directs and manages the planning and development of internal and external communications strategies to support the organization's goals. Assignments include global campaigns supporting growth of the firm’s major services categories, brand management, communication of major internal programs (Ex: technology introductions, human resources programs), and major employee communications. Creates materials for these campaigns and programs and directs others. Consults on long-term strategy changes. Works from high level goals. Duties and Responsibilities Strategy and Planning • Develops short-term and long-term strategy for marketing and communications programs. Strategy includes the message, the audience, and the communications platforms. • Develops strategy through collaboration with executive and senior management and by directing other marketing and communications staff. • Platforms may include client outreach programs, internal and external executive communications, website content, social media, print and electronic media, events, email, and employee communications. • Consults routinely with executive and senior management to proactively discuss anticipated changes in strategy and new issues impacting marketing and communications programs. • Recommends new approaches and programs in response to changes. Program Administration • Oversees the implementation of marketing and communications campaigns and programs. • Creates the budget and calendar of events. • Determines key performance metrics to measure success and establishes change management communications techniques to identify need for greater clarity. • Modifies programs and information flow based on results. Reviews all campaigns and communications programs to find synergies between programs and to avoid overlap. Long-Term Impact Monitoring • Tracks long-term impact of programs through impact to sales, pipeline, and leads, customer perception measures, internal awareness metrics, etc. • Develops improvements to key performance metrics and measurement tools. Performs other duties as required. Skills and Abilities • Expert ability to develop a communications and/or marketing strategy for complex situations. • Expert knowledge of all communications platforms. • Expert ability to research technical information, conduct interviews with multiple internal and client resources at all levels of the organization, and produce communication materials. • Expert ability to provide or construct communications materials with appropriate style, grammar, and proper English syntax. • Advanced ability to influence others. • Expert ability to work collaboratively as a member of a communications team in preparing print materials, audio-visual presentations, Web-based communications, and social media content. • Excellent interpersonal skills. • Expert written and oral communications skills. • Advanced ability in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as digital channel platforms. **Job Title:** Senior Manager Marketing and Communications Specialist **Group:** COR **Employment Type:** Local **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Requirements • Bachelor's degree. • 20 years of related experience with at least 3 of those years in a management or supervisory capacity. • Prior experience of leading Comms for over a 1000 employee firm **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: • BA or BS in Communications, Marketing, Business, Journalism, or related degree • Previous experience working in an architectural, engineering, or construction firm • A strong command of Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint • Excellent command of grammar and spelling. • Good interpersonal and communication skills. • The ability to work as a contributing member of the team • The ability to work and meet deadlines under rigid time constraints • The ability to work beyond the standard scheduled workday or workweek **Why CDM Smith?:** Check out this video and find out why our team loves to work here!
