Senior Manager/ Manager, Underwriting
We’re looking for a driven and strategic professional to join our team as a Senior Manager or Manager in Underwriting. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of our Underwriting Transformation Project—leading digital initiatives, streamlining processes, and delivering innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience. **Position Responsibilities:** + **Subject Matter Expertise** : Act as a trusted SME in cross-functional projects, including new product development and compliance initiatives, ensuring alignment with underwriting standards and operational policies. + **Digital Innovation** : Drive the execution of digital initiatives such as underwriting automation and AI-powered process enhancements. + **Solution Design** : Conduct impact assessments and propose scalable, cost-effective solutions that meet evolving business needs. + **Project Management** : Develop and manage project roadmaps, track progress, and ensure timely delivery aligned with strategic objectives. + **Collaboration & Communication** : Work closely with digital teams, business units, and key stakeholders to identify opportunities, resolve challenges, and deliver impactful outcomes. + **Change Enablement** : Deliver effective training and support to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and workflows across the organization. + **Continuous Improvement** : Champion a culture of innovation by identifying and implementing more efficient ways of working across underwriting and new business functions. **Required Qualifications:** + Proven experience in **digital operations and project management** , ideally within insurance or financial services. + Strong understanding of **individual insurance products** , underwriting processes, and new business operations. + Up-to-date knowledge of **regulatory requirements** and industry-standard underwriting practices. + Hands-on experience in **digital transformation projects** , particularly in underwriting or new business environments. + Familiarity with **AI technologies** and a keen interest in emerging digital tools and platforms. + Excellent **analytical and problem-solving skills** , with a structured approach to planning and execution. + Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment. + Strong **multi-tasking and prioritization** skills in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. **When you join our team:** + We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want. + We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words. + As part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see. **Acerca de Manulife y John Hancock** Manulife Financial Corporation es un importante proveedor internacional de servicios financieros que ayuda a las personas a tomar decisiones de una manera más fácil y a vivir mejor.
