The Role:
The Senior Manager, Loan Closing is a senior, trusted operator responsible for the end‑to‑end execution, oversight, and continuous improvement of loan closing activities across primary and secondary markets.
This role is designed for a highly experienced loan closing professional who can operate autonomously, exercise sound judgment, and influence direction through expertise rather than hierarchy. The successful candidate will own complex settlement activity, process governance, and control frameworks, while also driving meaningful operational and technology enhancements.

End‑to‑End Loan Closing Execution
Own the accurate and timely settlement of complex, high‑risk, and high‑volume loan trades, acting as both Counterparty and Agent. Serve as a go‑to subject matter expert for LSTA and LMA market practices, ClearPar workflows, and primary/secondary settlement processes, including par and distressed trades. Ensure strict adherence to credit approvals, loan documentation, pricing, limits, and regulatory requirements. Act as a senior escalation point for complex settlement issues, counterparty disputes, and operational incidents.Ownership of Process, Controls & Risk
Maintain strong governance over Front Office / Back Office reconciliations, limit monitoring, and breach escalation. Identify, assess, and escalate material risks, control gaps, or policy exceptions, exercising independent judgment. Ensure KYC and onboarding standards are met prior to settlement in line with internal policies and regulatory expectations. Apply the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture consistently in day‑to‑day activities and decisions.Process Improvement & Change Leadership
Take clear ownership for continuous improvement, challenging existing processes and driving pragmatic, sustainable change. Lead or significantly contribute to technology and automation initiatives, including ClearPar, Loan IQ, and STP enhancements. Influence operating model and process direction through credibility, data, and expertise.Stakeholder Partnership
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, agents, and counterparties to resolve issues efficiently and improve outcomes. Communicate clearly and confidently with Front Office, Risk, Operations, and external partners. Contribute subject matter expertise to initiatives supporting agented syndicated and participated facilities.People Leadership
Provide coaching, guidance, and informal mentorship to colleagues where applicable. Where people leadership applies, support team development, workload management, and a culture of accountability and excellence.
