Senior Manager - HR Systems

We have an exciting opportunity to accelerate your career by becoming an integral part of our continued growth and innovation as a Senior Manager, Software Engineering, providing you with a meaningful opportunity to develop and apply your technical expertise and help us drive the future of transportation and logistics. **What you will be doing in this role:** As a Penske Senior Manager, Software Engineering, you will lead our HR Technology (HRIT) organization and drive the evolution of our Oracle HCM Cloud ecosystem. This is a highly visible leadership role where you will shape the future of HR technology at enterprise scale, impacting how associates are hired, paid, developed, and supported across the organization. You will own the strategic direction for HR technology platforms, ensure reliable execution of initiatives, and develop leadership capability within your organization. You will balance near term operational priorities with long term modernization and scalability goals. Beyond keeping systems running, you will influence how technology enables business agility, automation, and growth, partnering closely with senior HR leaders, IT leadership, and external vendors. **Responsibilities:** + Provide strategic and people leadership for the HRIT systems team supporting all HR business functions. + Own the HR technology roadmap, aligning Oracle HCM capabilities with business strategy and future needs. + Partner with HR functional leaders, HRIS, IT teams, and vendors to deliver enterprise‑wide initiatives. + Lead monthly meetings with process owners to ensure proper delivery and prioritization of projects. + Lead integration efforts between Oracle HCM Cloud and other enterprise systems. + Guide project prioritization, delivery, and execution across multiple concurrent initiatives. + Serve as the primary escalation point for HR technology issues, risks, and decisions. + Influence technology direction, standards, and development tools across the HR systems landscape. + Identify opportunities for system optimization, automation, and value generation. + Use dashboards and metrics to track progress, outcomes, and delivery health. + Coach, mentor, and develop managers and engineers within your organization. + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Information Systems, or equivalent development experience. + 12–15 years of HRIT / HCM experience, including at least 3 years in a people leadership role. + Proven success leading large‑scale, cross‑functional, enterprise technology initiatives. + Strong stakeholder management and vendor leadership experience. + Hands‑on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud and Payroll. + Knowledge of HDL, Fast Formulas, BI Publisher, OTBI, and SQL. + Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC). + Background in enterprise application development (Java, web architectures, services, databases). + Oracle HCM Cloud Certification preferred. + Experience in leading the development & implementation of highly complex enterprise applications built in Java, Web architecture, Spring Framework, Web Services & SQL as well as DB2 and Oracle databases. **Physical Requirements:** + The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
