Job Title: FP&A Senior Manager
Job Description

The FP&A Senior Manager serves as a true financial planning and analysis leader, owning enterprise-level FP&A processes and driving a sales and marketing–focused finance agenda with an enterprise-wide perspective. This role supports both the CEO and CFO with strategic insights, contributes to earnings and executive presentations, and helps shape and mature processes within a large publicly traded organization undergoing a positive business turnaround. The position offers high visibility, broad impact, and the opportunity to influence key decisions at scale.

ResponsibilitiesLead enterprise-level FP&A processes, ensuring high-quality financial planning, analysis, and reporting across the organization.Drive the annual planning process and lead multi-cycle forecasting activities to support strategic and operational decision-making.Establish and refine forecasting guidelines and frameworks to minimize recurring shortfalls and improve forecast accuracy.Anticipate questions from Senior leadership and proactively provide data-driven guidance, insights, and recommendations.Support the CEO and CFO with strategic financial analysis and scenario modeling to inform key business decisions.Contribute to the preparation of earnings call presentation materials, providing clear, concise, and accurate financial insights.Develop and deliver presentations for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), translating complex financial data into actionable narratives.Partner closely with sales and marketing teams to evaluate performance, understand key drivers, and support growth initiatives.Oversee and delegate work to a small FP&A team, ensuring effective task allocation and timely completion of deliverables, without formal performance review responsibilities.Perform financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting activities, including reconciliations and variance analyses.Support the ongoing maturation and improvement of FP&A processes, tools, and reporting in a large public company environment.Act as a self-starter and problem-solver, stepping into evolving needs, taking ownership, and helping the team \"grab an oar and make it work\" during a period of significant change.Essential Skills5–7+ years of progressive, high-level finance and/or accounting experience.Experience working within a large publicly traded company.Strong financial planning and analysis (FP&A) expertise, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.Proficiency in financial analysis and financial reporting, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights.Hands-on experience with forecasting processes and methodologies.Strong Excel skills, including advanced functions for analysis and modeling.Ability to perform reconciliations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.Proven ability to support Senior executives with strategic financial insights and presentations.Self-starter mindset with a scrappy, creative, and proactive approach to problem-solving.Comfort working in a dynamic environment with evolving processes and responsibilities.Additional Skills & QualificationsPower BI experience is a nice to have and will support more advanced reporting and data visualization.Experience working closely with sales and marketing organizations from a finance perspective.Background in preparing or contributing to earnings call materials and executive-level presentations.Experience delegating tasks and guiding the work of others within a small team structure.Demonstrated ability to thrive in a changing environment and contribute to a business turnaround.Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.Work Environment

This role operates within a lean FP&A team of four, including a VP of FP&A, this FP&A Senior Manager, and two additional team members who will receive task delegation from this role without formal performance review responsibilities. The position follows a hybrid work schedule in a downtown office, with three days per week onsite. A parking lot is available across the building for consultant use. The environment is that of a large public company undergoing a positive business turnaround, where the culture emphasizes rolling up your sleeves, taking initiative, and collaborating to make things work during a period of significant change. You will work with modern analytical tools, including Excel and potentially Power BI, and will have exposure to high-level corporate processes such as earnings calls and Executive Leadership Team presentations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $67.00 - $90.00/hr.
