Senior Manager Finance - FP&A (Hybrid job)

This key position will support corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) under the direction of the VP of Finance for Akima, LLC and its over 50 subsidiaries. This key role will help maintain an environment of sound financial system controls in support of monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today! **This Hybrid position requires that you live within commuting distance from Herndon, VA.** This individual’s responsibilities include: + Establishing company policy and process for, and lead completion of, Requests for Equitable Adjustments (REAs) + Managing B&P budgets and expenditure reporting + Supporting monthly/quarterly/annual financial forecasting and reporting for Akima’s Executive Team + Assisting in the maintenance/configuration of CostPoint financial structures (General ledger accounts, Orgs, Pool Allocations and Financial Statements) + Balance Sheet reporting, Cash Flow projections, and DSO monitoring **Responsibilities** A successful candidate will have proven experience working in a corporate FP&A team, extensive knowledge of CostPoint and Cognos, and the ability to communicate and demonstrate their technical and functional experiences relative to the best methods for reporting and analysis of financial data to many users across the enterprise. + Extensive experience pricing REAs, especially related to SCA Wage Determination and CBA changes + Has worked in a project control role overseeing project setups, budgets, and spend + Strong knowledge of Deltek Costpoint and Cognos + Has consolidated financial statement forecasts and budgets for companies, divisions, or lines of business + Experience forecasting cash flow and DSO management + Has worked with large data sets, including using Power Query to merge/consolidate information + Working knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards and FAR + Understanding of indirect cost structures, indirect pool cost and base relationships, and Costpoint wildcarding + Familiarity with the federal government services market and contract structures + Advanced Excel skills including the use of pivot tables and charts, vlookups, conditional statements, linking, advanced formulas, data queries and macros **Qualifications** + Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline; Master’s degree preferred + Years of Experience: + 7 plus yrs. work experience in Finance, including 2 plus years in an FP&A role + 4 plus yrs. experience using Cognos Analytics or Query/Report Studio + 4 plus yrs. experience working with Deltek Costpoint Core modules + Advanced Excel skills; Experience working with Power BI preferred **Job ID** 2025-18937 **Work Type** Hybrid **Company Description** **Work Where it Matters** Akima is not just another global enterprise and federal contractor.
