About the Role & Team
Currency Operations is responsible for collecting, counting, depositing and reporting Resort revenue, as well as providing cash handling expertise, documentation and training to line-of-business partners.
Ticket Operations over-sees ticket media policy, enforcement and reporting. Responsible for fulfillment of all ticket requests; orders, disburses and controls ticket media for Walt Disney World.
Asset Management (Property Control) is responsible for tracking, auditing, and final disposition of company assets in accordance with company policies, accounting practices, tax laws, and support zero net-waste initiatives.
Fixed Asset Inventory Control is responsible auditing, tracking and reporting on new assets placed into service, including physical tags, recurring audits, accurate financial records, and associated property tax payments, are all correctly stated.
What You Will Do
As the Senior Manager-Finance you will manage and assist with strategy efforts for the operational, accounting and financial requirements of site-based Currency Operations, Ticket Operations, and Asset Management. Develop, implement and maintain policy, accounting controls and security measures appropriate for the protection of Resort assets and Cast Member safety. Ensure compliance with banking regulations, GAAP, legal, contractual and TWDC accounting policies. Drive Segment consistency and actively support/implement TWDC and DX initiatives. Execute revenue growth opportunities within Asset Management while ensuring effective, efficient process efforts across all areas.
Manage third party relationships and provide world-class service (internally and externally), while remaining the low-cost provider through strength of hire, cast member development, business optimization and innovative technology solutions.
Responsibilities
Provide cash services to front-of-house lines of business including cash availability, documentation, revenue deposits, secure transport, overseeing documentation and training and ensuring operational and procedural accounting and compliance.Provide critical ticket fulfillment services to support new and existing Guest and Cast/Employee programs.Ensure company assets are tagged, and audited, with final disposition of company assets completed according to Company policies and support of zero net-waste initiatives (minimize losses, mitigate environmental impacts and maximize revenues)Drive business optimization through continuous improvement and automation to maintain low-cost provider status; benchmark best in class processes and systems.Develop and implement processes to support expansion of partner business efforts providing subject matter expertise and excellent business decision supportEnsure continual focus on operational internal controls to mitigate risk and deter fraud.Manage all financial aspects of Currency Operations, Ticket Fulfillment, and Asset Management teams, including budgeting, scheduling, cost tracking, and strategic planning.Drive segment consistency and actively support/implement TWDC and DX initiatives. Lead, coach, engage, and build trust and sense of inclusion across a diverse team of hourly and salaried Cast Members fostering their professional growth and development.Provide excellent internal and external guest service while maintaining controls.Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.7+ years of operational / business experience, preferably leading large, multi-functional teams.Proven record of leading and engaging large teams of hourly and salaried professionalsKnowledge and understanding of operational process design and internal controls.Strong collaboration skills and the ability to influence others.Excellent analytic and business-case modeling skills.Exceptional project management and critical thinking skillsExcellent verbal and written communications skills to stakeholders across all levels of organization.Proficiency in SAP, MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.Required Education
