**WHAT YOU'LL DO**
As the Senior Digital Development Manager, you will lead the engineering team responsible for building, maintaining, and evolving world-class digital experiences across web and technology platforms. This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring deep expertise in full-stack development, modern architecture patterns, and cloud-native solutions. You'll manage internal developers, external contractors, and agency partners to deliver scalable, secure, and performant solutions. You will play a key role in the transition to Sitecore XM Cloud, integrating with services like OrderCloud, Personalize, Search, and Content Hub. In collaboration with marketing teams, you will ensure our digital experiences align with strategic business goals and deliver exceptional customer engagement.
+ **Lead and Manage Full-Stack Development:** Oversee the end-to-end delivery of digital and ecommerce solutions, including architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment across web, API, and system integration layers.
+ **Drive Strategic Technology Transformation:** Provide technical leadership and strategic guidance during the migration from Sitecore Experience Commerce to Sitecore XM Cloud, leveraging hands-on expertise where necessary to drive successful implementation.
+ **Enforce Governance and Standards:** Establish and maintain development standards, code quality guidelines, and tooling strategies to align with enterprise architecture and compliance frameworks.
+ **Hands-On Technical Leadership:** Serve as a hands-on leader who can actively contribute to development efforts while setting a high technical standard for the team to follow.
+ **Vendor and Partner Management:** Lead collaboration with external vendors, contractors, and partners—including those operating in Waterfall environments—to ensure successful and timely delivery of project components.
+ **Build and Mentor High-Performing Teams:** Play a key role in selecting, developing, and mentoring top-tier digital development talent, fostering a team culture rooted in collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence.
+ **Ensure Compliance and Security:** Lead initiatives to ensure all digital solutions are secure, scalable, cost-effective, and compliant with standards such as PCI-DSS, WCAG, PII, and CCPA.
+ **Champion Quality Assurance Practices:** Oversee the implementation of automated unit and integration testing to ensure that all digital experiences meet high standards of reliability and performance before reaching customers and employees.
+ **Advance DevOps and CI/CD Practices:** Collaborate closely with the DevOps Manager to develop and enforce modern DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, infrastructure as code, and secure development pipelines.
+ **Promote Innovation and Emerging Technology:** Cultivate a culture of innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and methodologies and advocating for the adoption across the organization.
+ **Navigate Cross-Functional Complexity:** Demonstrate strong senior leadership capabilities by effectively managing across departments, resolving conflicts, and aligning diverse teams with a unified digital strategy.
+ **Transform to Agile Ways of Working:** Foster an Agile mindset across the development organization and provide leadership and education to guide the transition from traditional methods to modern, iterative delivery practices.
+ **Recruit and Develop Technical Talent:** Identify skill gaps, recruit top engineering talent, and design career development paths that align with both team objectives and individual growth.
+ **Deliver Business-Aligned Results:** Balance competing priorities and resource constraints while delivering digital initiatives that support broader organizational goals and enhance the customer experience.
**WHAT YOU'LL NEED**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or similar discipline.
+ 8+ years of progressive software development experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
+ Restaurant or retail experience preferred.
+ Proven track record delivering digital products across responsive web and mobile apps, ideally in ecommerce, retail, or restaurant environments.
+ Experience with Sitecore (CMS and XC/XM Cloud) and adjacent tools such as OrderCloud, Personalize, and Content Hub.
+ Deep understanding of modern front-end frameworks (React, JavaScript, HTML/CSS), back-end platforms (.NET, Node.js), and public cloud (Azure preferred).
+ Experience integrating with third-party systems such as POS, OMS, and payment processors.
+ Expertise in designing REST APIs and distributed services (Azure Functions, AWS Lambda).
+ Skilled in Agile/SCRUM methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
+ Strong understanding of data security, accessibility, and privacy compliance requirements.
+ Strong communication and leadership skills, capable of managing cross-functional technical and non-technical teams.
+ Knowledge in systems and processes including:
+ Methodologies – Agile, Design Patterns, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Delivery (CD) Pipelines
+ Platforms – CMS (Sitecore XP), Ecommerce (Sitecore XC), and MarTech (Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
+ Front-End Development – HTML, JavaScript, CSS, React
+ Back-End Development – Visual Studio, C#, Node.js, SQL Server, Microsoft Azure (PaaS & IaaS)
+ API & Services – REST, Docker, Azure Functions
