The Communication Consulting team maximizes client retention and growth through needs-based client consulting and engagement strategies that drive better participant outcomes. We have dedicated teams that support different plan sizes and complexities.
As a Senior Manager, Communications Consultant, you will be accountable to develop, deliver, and manage an effective participant engagement strategy for each of your assigned clients, encompassing Defined Contributions, Defined Benefits, and Non-Qualified retirement plans, stock plans and related services. You will also provide support to clients through our pooled model. This is an individual contributor role.

Become an expert in the WS participant and their experience with Schwab. Know our clients, establish a positive relationship with plan sponsors and be an active player on collaborative and consultative service teamsDevelop data-driven engagement strategies aligned with client goals that leverage scalable solutions with the power to improve participant outcomes and transform financial livesManage client expectations to align with stated client agreements, including budget and service parametersMaintain effective communication with internal business partners to ensure successful end-to-end execution of participant engagement plansProvide input on client sales strategies and participate in the sales process, including attending sales finals and site visits to win and retain clientsIdentify trends and gaps in our Participant Experience and communication offerings and share information with leadership What you haveTo ensure that we fulfill our promise of “challenging the status quo,” this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required Qualifications
At least 5 years of financial services or relationship management experience with a focus on engaging participants or consumers, building integrated strategies, and working with marketing or communications teamsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceStrong analytical, data interpretation and consultative skillsArticulate communicator with strong listening skills; presents well in person, on the phone and in meetingsProven ability to influence others and inspire actionCollaborative with proven ability to develop internal and external partnershipsHigh achievement orientation, measures success through quantitative resultsAbility to travel 50% or more businessPreferred Qualifications
