**Department Overview**
The Canadian Card Payments, Loyalty & Personal Lending (CCPL&PL) department at TD Bank Group (TD) is responsible for strategy, product development, customer lifecycle management and the financial performance of all Canadian credit card and personal lending products. Additionally, the department leads the business development & relationship management for TD's Loyalty & Co-Brand Partnerships.
The business is the second largest dual issuer of Visa and MasterCard products in Canada. TD Consumer and Business credit cards are distributed nationally, leveraging our retail distribution network, direct channels and key co-brand partnerships including Aeroplan and Amazon.
**Job Description:**
The Senior Manager, Loyalty Partnerships Business Development is a unique and dynamic role reporting directly to the AVP, Loyalty & Business Development. Core to this role is identifying, developing, and nurturing new business opportunities to drive customer value, market differentiation and growth for TD. This includes lead generation, networking, building relationships, negotiating business terms, contract negotiations, and collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure a successful partnership launch. Examples of existing Loyalty Partnerships include Starbucks, Expedia, Amazon Shop with Points and Uber, where these Loyalty Partnerships unlock everyday value and savings for TD customers. This role delivers end-to-end business development activities which include:
+ Building a robust B2B sales pipeline of potential partnerships with relevant merchants that would resonate with TD's customer segments, enhance TD cards' value proposition, and deliver against TD's Enterprise Loyalty Strategy.
+ Engage with external key stakeholders and decision makers at all levels to negotiate mutually beneficial business & financial terms that will align with both organizations' strategic priorities.
+ Develop or support development of business cases to assess financial impacts of each partnership and influence internally across key stakeholder groups to gain alignment to business terms and program economics. Ability in some cases to support external organization in developing their view of business benefits.
+ Collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders as part of the partnership scoping/ onboarding process such as: Legal, Finance, Product Management, Brand, Marketing, Loyalty Journey, Technology, TD Procurement, and other lines of business where an enterprise partnership opportunity exists.
+ Develop compelling B2B Sales content and pitch decks to influence sales outcomes, including RFP support, where needed.
+ Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards, policies, and procedures.
**Job Requirements:**
+ Prior experience in B2B sales and contract negotiations preferred.
+ Strong financial acumen with ability to challenge P&L assumptions, levers, and outcomes to drive program outcomes within acceptable financial guardrails.
+ Strong commercial savviness and interpersonal skills to interact, build relationships and influence at all levels including C Suite Executives internally and externally.
+ Skillful communication (written and verbal) and partnership mindset to balance partner inputs but remain objective to reach favorable outcomes for the customer, partner, and shareholder.
+ Ability to stay resilient under pressure and work collaboratively to solve problems and align stakeholders to a central vision.
+ Previous experience in developing and executing sales/ product strategies and delivering superior short and long-term results an asset.
+ Self-starter with ability to multi-task and to progress outcomes independently with an elevated level of quality and attention to detail.
+ Understanding and working knowledge of Canadian Loyalty Partnerships & credit card landscape an asset.
