Job Summary
This position can sit in either Wilkes-Barre or Lehigh.
Lead and direct the Regional Sales staff business development activities that drive profitable sales growth and capture new business opportunities. Influence key regional Economic Development agencies and committees to further growth initiatives and develop new markets. Plan and coordinate the implementation of UGI’s business plans. Motivate the participation of Sales staff in minor ED Agencies. Define the Regional Community Involvement role of the company and maintain the positive public perception of the Company’s Brand and Image. Establish and maintain Public Relations with local government officials. The Director is the Company’s regional Media Relations agent and shall establish relationships with key regional media.
Duties and Responsibilities
+ Lead and direct the Regional Sales staff. Drive increased Profitable margin to achieve growth goals/initiatives within the Residential, Commercial, and Industrial market sectors. Gain increased sales and margins with existing customers. Participate in contract rate proposal formulation and analysis.
+ Forecast and manage capital main and service budget. Forecast and manage expense budget for the Region. Approve all Regional New Business main projects and service designs. Implement and monitor cost control measures to assure installation consistency and ROI.
+ Define the Regional Community involvement ensuring key social agencies are covered by key Sales staff. Participate in one or more Board level seats with key Agencies and assign Sales Team Members to minor ED Agencies. Do so with the aim of increasing the positive public perception of the UGI Brand and Image.
+ Lead the efforts to increase the positive perception of UGI with local public officials and key media in the Region. Establish and maintain relationships with key cities, boroughs, township, and county government officials. Gain new business through these relationships, while promoting UGI growth initiatives. Act as the main Media spokesperson for UGI in the Region. Manage short timelines under stressful conditions.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Extensive knowledge of the UGI Tariffs, information systems and policies desired.
+ Experience working with Senior Management to align sales strategies and solutions.
+ Ability to influence and negotiate.
+ Ability to successfully pitch new business initiatives.
+ Collaborative work experience.
+ Media Spokesperson shared responsibility.
+ Ability to work with short timelines under stressful circumstances.
+ Position requires regular attendance to off hour meetings.
+ Position manages a staff in multiple locations and diverse territories.
+ Ability to learn Electric Division Sales processes and support Electric Sales Reps
Education and Experience
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering preferred, MBA a plus.
+ Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
