What You'll Do

As a Senior Analyst – BCG Vantage on our Client Focus path within BCG's Financial Institutions Practice Area, you will work in a growing global team, delivering value to clients via individual expertise and/or institutionalized BCG Vantage assets (products, tools, data, workshops, frameworks, surveys, domain-specific data and related expertise, etc.). You will contribute on cases and proposals by contributing relevant analysis and insights and help case teams create strong impact for the client. While contributing to client cases, workshops and proposals, occasional travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments is expected to understand client requirements, and design / develop solutions.
You will support commercialization efforts for the topic/sector working, in conjunction with business leaders, through contributing analysis and insights to proposals, client workshops and marketing materials. Additionally, as a Senior Analyst – BCG Vantage, you will contribute to developing intellectual property & assets for the business and assist in onboarding and training junior colleagues based on your topic/sector expertise.

BCG’s Financial Institutions Practice Area (FIP) aims to be the consultant of choice for leaders in the financial industry. What You'll Bring

• 2+ years of consulting experience on financial-services topics, or
• In lieu of consulting experience, 3+ years of industry experience in an Australian financial institution (e.g. major banks, industry/retail super funds, insurers, wealth managers, payments providers, fintechs etc); 4-6+ years of industry experience strongly preferred
• Bachelor's Degree required (in business, finance, economics, etc.) Advanced degree preferred
• Strong business acumen and understanding of Australian financial-services dynamics, e.g. competitive landscape, customer behavior trends, digital innovation, and regulatory developments.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality analyses, source and validate data independently, and apply structure and logic to problem statements
• Experience developing client-ready content, including well-structured pages, synthesized messages, and draft storylines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and confidence engaging with case teams and client stakeholders—able to contribute in meetings, explain insights, and influence discussions with data-backed reasoning.
• Fluency in English and comfort working in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder consulting environments.

As a Senior Analyst – BCG Vantage on our Client Focus path, you will work face to face with clients and with BCG Project Leaders, Associates and Consultants. In the period between cases, you will collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients. YOU'RE GOOD AT


• Structuring and executing analyses that help case teams tackle complex challenges across Australian financial institutions—e.g., retail and business banking, superannuation, insurance, payments, fintech etc.
• Contributing meaningfully to problem solving, proposing alternative analytical approaches and clearly articulating the “so what” behind your findings
• Communicating with confidence and clarity—both verbally and in writing—to case teams, senior consulting team members, and client stakeholders. You can draft near client-ready slides and initial storylines that require limited refinement.
• Working collaboratively within hybrid team environments, engaging with working level clients, and building credibility through high-quality execution.
• Applying curiosity and creativity to ambiguous situations, open to new things and able to propose innovative ideas
• Maintaining strong discipline in execution, managing timelines, ensuring quality control, and engaging proactively with case team members as part of delivering client-ready work.
