About the Team
The Web Merchandising team is a key function in the Direct to Consumer (DTC) organization that collaborates cross-functionally to help Williams Sonoma continue to create an immersive, ecommerce first experience for our consumers. The team drives site merchandising strategy and execution for all categories, collaborating with merchandising to drive site implementation of product and content strategy, consumer experience strategy and optimization as well as with the digital operations team.
About the Role
You will execute the channel product strategy and visual website merchandising strategy for specific product departments and functional areas of website; execute business strategies and website merchandise strategies to maximize sales and profit; and identify opportunities and recommend new concepts for the channel to enhance the brand.
Responsibilities
Assist in the development of the annual strategy and financial plans of the channel.Review plans and eCommerce merchandising goals; develops website merchandise strategies to achieve sales and site KPIs.Communicate and sets the site merchandising strategy focusing on product presentation, navigation, and conversion to drive sales and improve customer journey.Collaborate and lead enhancements across product pages, overall site design, layouts, imagery, and content.Partners closely with merchandising, inventory, creative, marketing and tech to develop and execute site features, landing pages and promotions within the website to drive product sales and engagement.Participate in weekly site testing to ensure correct presentation and product data integrity.Analyze sales and site KPIs for eCommerce to identify opportunities for the channel.Review weekly, monthly sales reports and communicate opportunities and findings to cross channel partners and brand leadership.Own product page setup strategy for designated categories and lead team on best-in-class execution.Keep abreast of market trends, consumer trends, competition, customer service issues, and eCommerce technology and dynamics to effectively drive the DTC business.
Criteria
Bachelors Degree required
6+ years of eCommerce, retail or catalog experience.
Strong affinity for the product/concept.
eCommerce or website merchandising experience.
Proven analytical, business planning skills.
Able to make timely decisions, anticipate problems and provide creative solutions.
Well-organized, detail oriented.
Able to deal ambiguity and a changing environment.
Strong computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet applications-must have an interest in the linkage from systems to the Web.
This role requires being onsite in the San Francisco office Monday through Thursday and Friday as optional in the office
