Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are safe, reliable, maintainable, and delivered on time. LCE is composed of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices, and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering teams are engaged throughout the entire product life cycle, from conception to deactivation. Our primary focus is on product support, including the following key disciplines: Reliability, System Safety, and Supportability.

To help drive this mission forward, Raytheon has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Systems Engineering – Reliability Engineering Section Lead to join our team supporting the Patriot Missile Program.

In this role, you will lead a team of logistics engineers dedicated to delivering high-quality engineering products and services to our program offices. You will also utilize Program Management Excellence (PMX) tools such as manpower planning, project cost account management through the Earned Value Management System (EVMS), cost proposal development, and Estimate at Completion (EAC) analysis.

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Tewksbury, MA.

What You Will Do

Employee performance development and assessment

Ensure quality and timeliness of work products produced within the section

Employee growth, productivity improvement, and recognition

Personnel issue resolution

Ensuring compliance with company policies/procedures

Ensuring all personnel are properly prepared and trained for the tasks they are assigned

Leveraging best practices across all programs

Growing capabilities of the section to meet future customer needs

Use Earned Value Management System to meet cost and schedule commitments

Lead major internal and external meetings including iPMRs, gate reviews, customer meetings with Patriot partners, and contract meetings with DLA/US Army

Work closely with program finance to run weekly financial meetings

Assemble, review and defend Latest Revised Estimates/Estimates At Completion

Develop Bases of Estimates to assemble compliant, cost effective proposals

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience

Experience developing and executing engineering contract deliverables

Experience as a technical and/or functional lead of an engineering team

Experience using Earned Value Management System (EVMS) to meet cost and schedule commitments

Experience as Control Account Manager or Integrated Product Team Lead

Experience preparing Bases of Estimate (BOE)

Qualifications We Prefer

Experience with Reliability data collection and analysis

An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position

Lead major internal and external meetings including iPMRs, gate reviews, customer meetings with Patriot partners, and contract meetings with DLA/US Army.

Work closely with program finance to run weekly financial meetings. PMX Engineering approver for all BCR inputs.

Raytheon EVMS certification

Raytheon Program Management certification or PMP

Experience developing briefings to mid-sized audiences regarding technical plans, status, and results

Experience performing as proposal lead/support for a contract capture through LCE leadership, Business Area approval and/or customer negotiation

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Aptitude in creating and implementing metrics-based execution plans

Experience in understanding a generation breakdown

Experience developing Spares Analyses (Poisson Based Statistical Analysis, OPUS Suite, or similar analysis software experience)

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
