Job Summary
Nordson's Electronics Solutions (ES) division delivers cutting-edge engineering and application expertise to global automotive, printed circuit board, and precision assembly manufacturers through innovative fluid dispensing and surface treatment solutions. The Global Supply Chain Senior Manager will be tasked with leading end-to-end global supply chain operations for $210M++ division, with a strong emphasis on supplier quality, strategic sourcing, inventory management, and supplier development.
This role drives the execution of supply chain strategies that support scalable growth, supply assurance, cost and inventory optimization across a globally distributed network and manufacturing sites. By leading a lean, high-performing team and championing the Nordson Business System (NBS Next) transformation, the manager ensures the development of strategic supplier partnerships and the continuous improvement of procurement practices to enhance delivery performance, quality, and overall supply chain efficiency.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Supply Chain Leadership
Develop and execute global supply chain strategies aligned with NBS Next initiatives to deliver leadership-level DSI metrics.Define and implement lean-based global supply chain best practices in collaboration with Corporate Supply Chain Management leaders.Act as the primary source of insights on market conditions, inflation trends, and cost-saving initiatives for global leadership.Support the division supply chain strategy in meeting the overall division level business plan and objectives.Team & Supplier Management
Lead and mentor a small, high-performing, globally focused team across supplier quality, strategic sourcing, inventory, and supplier development.Manage international sourcing operations, including supplier selection, relationship management, contract negotiations, and logistics.Foster collaboration between global Supply Chain Managers to standardize processes and share best practices.Introduce innovative suppliers and develop cost optimization strategies in partnership with Engineering and Product Development.Execute supply chain projects and initiatives across regions to optimize quality, delivery, and cost.Supplier Development & Performance
Define, implement, and train the supply chain organizations and critical suppliers globally on NBS principles and performance expectations.Develop, lead and deliver a NBS Next approach and strategy for suppliers globallyMonitor and improve supplier performance using KPIs such as risk, quality, delivery, cost, and innovation, applying NBS approach for continuous improvement.Evaluate supplier performance trends in coordination with operations and supply chain leadership.Operational Execution
Ensure import/export compliance and regulatory adherence across all global regions.Partner with global manufacturing sites and business units to align supply chain processes with demand planning and inventory goals.Lead cross-regional product transfer initiatives and critical supply chain projects to optimize quality, cost, and delivery performance.Lead supply chain contingency planning and risk management strategies across all regions.M&A and Integration Support
Oversee due diligence and integration support during acquisition activities.Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.Minimum of 10 years of progressive supply chain and manufacturing experience with a strong global focus required.At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required; 10+ years preferred.Proven track record in international sourcing, supplier development, and strategic supplier negotiations.Strong foundation in lean manufacturing principles, global logistics, and supply chain planning.Hands-on experience working with cross-cultural teams and suppliers globally.Demonstrated ability to lead and align global supply chain functions with corporate and regional strategies.SAP or equivalent ERP system experience highly preferred.Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, Six Sigma, GD&T, or related credentials in purchasing, engineering, or materials management are a plus.Willingness and flexibility to travel internationallySkills and Abilities
Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles; experience applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies in a production environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams).Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.Solid understanding of purchasing practices across a variety of commodities and categories.Familiarity with RoHS and REACH compliance standards is advantageous.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.Ability to manage and execute priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic, and matrixed global environment.Proven ability to work effectively as a collaborative team player across diverse functions and geographies.Compensation
Salary range for this position is: $159,000 to $190,000 annually.
The base pay range for this job level is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, business considerations, and local market conditions, as well as candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, and skills
