What is the opportunity?
As Senior Manager, Next Best Action (NBA) Portfolio Planning you will communicate technology capabilities and contribute to future state planning with peers and stakeholders. This role is responsible for collaborating across teams including across technology and the business to create and document business cases, capability roadmaps aligned to the NBA strategy and annual budget planning and monthly reporting. The role will also support team planning initiatives, vendor management, and creation of thought leadership materials as required.
This is a highly specialized, broad in-scope role requiring strong business acumen, the ability to work in an agile and collaborative environment, a strong understanding of marketing technology along with exceptional communication skills to be able to translate technology capabilities into business benefits.
What will you do?
Collaborate with business stakeholders, marketing technology subject matter specialists, enterprise architects, internal finance specialists, project managers to define business case use cases and quantify benefits .
Manage NBA’s technology roadmap and budget in close collaboration with the Senior Management Team.
Seek diverse perspectives with industry leaders and within RBC to develop thought leadership content and identify capability enhancements while providing an actionable path forward to incorporate market leading practices into the marketing tech stack.
Prepare annual NBA technology budget projections and report on spend to date across the NBA technology portfolio
Complete project finance requests (PARs) for circulation and approval from our executive stakeholders.
Prepare presentation materials for monthly and quarterly business results including OKR updates and spend year to date vs budget
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
3+ years in a corporate strategy, project management, management consulting role, or comparable role
2+ years with direct exposure to the financial planning & analysis process across a portfolio of multiple projects and initiatives
Collaboration skills – able engage specialists across marketing and technology to effectively receive input and feedback to strategic plans that are then formalized and presented to executives
Consulting skills – able to identify areas for opportunity and growth within the MarTech ecosystem, engaging subject matter specialists to collaborate on proposals required to implement these new capabilities and present to executive sponsors.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Nice to Have:
Experience in financial services industry with broad understanding of marketing, product management, sales, finance, pricing, and risk management is an asset.
Proficiency with entity and data relationship mapping (MS Visio, Lucidchart, etc.)
Experience with marketing technologies including Salesforce Marketing Cloud and marketing automation tools relating to segmentation, automation, tracking, and analytics to make data-driven decisions for campaign optimization.
