Senior Manager, Strategic Marketing and Business Intelligence | Europe
**The Job’s Mission:** As **Senior Manager Strategic Marketing and Business Intelligence** , you are responsible for leading the development of the strategy for Stryker’s **Trauma & Extremities (T&E) business in Europe** : leading the insight gathering process, creating and executing long- and short-term pricing strategies that support overall business strategy and driving initiatives/projects that support overall T&E growth and profitability. **Find out more about our T&E product portfolio via** : https://www.stryker.com/nl/en/portfolios/orthopaedics/trauma-and-extremities.html In this position, you will collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales & Senior Leadership to ensure that strategic marketing and pricing decisions are aligned with the brand and market positioning as well as with customer and market expectations. We also offer workplace flexibility with a hybrid work model. **What you will do:** Strategic Leadership & Insights Gathering: + Lead the insights gathering process to identify customer, competitor and company trends that shape mid-to-long-term strategy. + Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify pricing trends, opportunities and threats. + Oversee the 5-year strategic planning process in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Pricing Strategy & Execution: + Develop and implement pricing strategies tailored to different markets, customers and business unit needs. + Conduct advanced pricing analysis and modeling to optimize pricing decisions and improve margins. + Analyze historical sales data, market conditions and customer behavior to identify business opportunities and risks. + Establish pricing policies, guidelines and approval processes to ensure consistency, compliance and profitability. + Implement real-time competitive benchmarking and dynamic pricing models where applicable. Cross-Functional Alignment & Stakeholder Management: + Ensure alignment between Marketing, Sales, Finance and Operations to drive cohesive strategy execution. + Provide training and guidance to Sales teams and key stakeholders on strategic planning, pricing strategies, market insights, etc. + Support leadership in developing long-term strategies that drive growth and profitability. Data, Tools & Performance Measurement: + Identify and implement pricing optimization tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and decision-making. + Develop a standardized KPI tracking system based on historical and real-time data analysis. + Define success metrics and conduct post-implementation assessments to refine pricing and strategy initiatives. Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: + Collaborate with legal teams to navigate the regulatory landscape across different markets. + Ensure pricing policies and strategies adhere to industry regulations and ethical standards. Profitability & Operational Efficiency: + Manage projects that improve profitability and operational effectiveness of the business. + Drive continuous improvement by leveraging data-driven insights and emerging pricing methodologies. Strategic Document Development: + Support the development of key strategic documents including strategic plans, annual marketing plans and product launch strategies. + Translate high-level plans into actionable pricing and business intelligence initiatives. Team Leadership & Development: + Manage, lead and motivate a team of direct reports: you will coach and develop your team to achieve their full potential – promoting an environment that fosters personal growth and development. + Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team. **What you need:** Required: + Degree or equivalent is required, preferably in fields such as Finance, Marketing, Business or any other relevant areas. + 10+ years of work experience is required. + Demonstrated experience with Power BI tools and data analysis. + Experience in managing or coaching/mentoring teams is required (2+ years is preferred). + Ability to accurately and effectively manage projects to ensure timely outcomes. + Excellent interpersonal communications, persuasion and presentation skills – with proficiency in spoken and written **English** . + Strong strategic-thinking and growth orientation, analytical and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work independently and to also establish relationships/work in collaboration with others. + Ability to understand and work within complex interdivisional procedures and policies. + Impeccable work ethics & integrity in managing confidential information. + Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
