About the Job

CHANEL is looking for an experienced Sr Manager of Skincare Education to join our Corporate Education team in New York City.  You will play a leading role in furthering our Skincare category through the creation and implementation of local programs as well as executing global programs and initiatives.  

Through the development of programs, curriculum, and tools, the Sr Manager is responsible for all initiatives which support driving CHANEL’s skincare business, as well as elevating the knowledge, skills, and expertise of our National Skincare Experts, Education Executives, Account Executives, and Beauty Advisors (BAs). 

Key to the success of driving these categories, while adapting to ongoing change, is an emphasis on people leadership and development, executive agility, business acumen, and execution elements.  Embedding these priorities requires a focus on key leadership skills to champion and drive business strategies by leveraging internal talent and cultivating a mindset of long-term, sustainable growth.

As the Sr Manager of Skincare Education, you will:

Focus on execution of Skincare education initiatives and strategies, ensuring that they align with and support business prioritiesLead the development of the National Skincare Experts: recruit, train, motivate, and inspire while establishing consistent protocols that align with the Global skincare vision and enhance in-store client experiencesCollaborate with Field Sales Leadership, Account Development, and Marketing teams each season on skincare event calendarization and initiatives to drive businessConsult with the Sr. Group Director of Services & Experiences on the education and development required to support implementing and delivering CHANEL services at point of saleBe a partner to the Skincare Marketing team, e.g., translate marketing stories into effective selling & service approaches for BAs, support launch and event animations through content developmentExecute the Skincare Experts program to assert CHANEL’s skincare authority while delivering best-in-class experiences for our clientsCreate and/or maintain Education materials (concept to execution) including product knowledge, brand history, and services execution appropriate for BAs at all levelsWork with the Sr. Group Director of Beauty Education and Sr Manager, Omni-Learning to lead train-the-trainer workshops for Education Executives and other Field Team members as neededUnderstand business quantitative and qualitative targets ensuring that education strategies align and help drive the achievement of Key Performance IndicatorsEngage with key retail partners to determine their unique learning needs and collaborate with Corporate Education team to design and deliver appropriate solutionsForecast product needs to support Education programs, e.g., seasonal seminars, onboarding programs, etc.Ensure that all education content adheres to legal guidelines by sharing with regulatory and legal teams

Position Logistics:

Bachelor’s Degree preferredPrior Learning & Development experience required (5+ years)Esthetics experience (3+ years) Minimum 5+ years of retail/field sales or other relevant experienceExperience in instructional design targeted in beauty skill building strongly preferredFacilitation and teaching skills; able to create and deliver teaching concepts that translate to the adult learner and the expected behaviors and resultsProven ability to recruit, develop, and coach othersAbility to lift at least 40 poundsMust be able to work from NY Corporate offices three days per weekTravel is required by car and plane at times – annual travel is 15-25%

Compensation:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $87,500 through $130,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other components will include additional compensation, benefits, and perks.
