We are seeking a Senior Manager, Scientific and Regulatory Affairs (SRA) to lead regulatory and scientific advocacy across Central America and the Caribbean, supporting the protection and growth of our portfolio across a diverse, multimarket region. This role is pivotal in identifying and managing regulatory risks and opportunities, advancing science-based positions, and strengthening trust with regulators, industry partners, and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will bring strong regulatory and advocacy expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to influence through collaboration in complex and evolving regulatory environments. **What You'll Do for Us**
+ Lead the identification, assessment, and management of scientific and regulatory risks and opportunities across Central America and the Caribbean, anticipating local and regional regulatory trends that may impact the business.
+ Execute and help shape globally aligned scientific and regulatory advocacy strategies to protect company positions, mitigate risk, and enable portfolio growth across the region.
+ Build and sustain trusted relationships with regulators, government agencies, scientific experts, NGOs, and industry stakeholders to support policy outcomes and strengthen company credibility, while managing advocacy resources and budgets responsibly.
+ Represent The Coca-Cola Company in industry and trade associations and, where appropriate, food standards bodies, advocating company and industry positions in a credible and science-based manner.
+ Provide expert scientific and regulatory guidance to internal stakeholders, proactively communicating emerging issues and supporting effective decision making and issue and crisis management (IMCR) through timely, coordinated, and science-based input
**Requirements & Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Regulatory Science, Public Health, or a related scientific discipline; advanced degree preferred.
+ Typically 8-12 years of progressive experience in the food and beverage industry, government, trade associations, or other regulated industries, with responsibility in regulatory affairs, scientific advocacy, or public policy roles.
+ Demonstrated experience engaging with regulators, policymakers, and external stakeholders, including advocacy within industry or trade organizations.
+ Solid working knowledge of regulatory affairs processes related to ingredients, products, packaging, claims, labeling, and communications.
+ Working understanding of food safety, toxicology, and nutrition science, including public health considerations related to obesity and noncommunicable diseases (NCDs).
+ Demonstrated ability to translate complex scientific and regulatory information into clear, credible guidance for internal and external stakeholders, supported by strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Fluency in Spanish and English required; additional relevant languages are a plus.
+ Willingness to travel as required to support country and regional objectives.
