**Job Summary**
The Senior Manager, QFS & HSE is responsible for leading integrated Quality, Food Safety, Health, Safety, and Environment execution across assigned markets. Operating as a individual contributor, the role ensures bottling operations, co-packers, and marketplace activities consistently meet KORE, OU, and local regulatory requirements while building strong capability, culture, and system maturity across the network.
**Job Description**
+ Act as the frontline QSE leader in the market, partnering with central QSE OU , key contact for QSE trouble shooting for the bottlers, Market Technical Leads, Franchise, HR, and Supply Chain to translate OU and Corporate priorities into effective on-the-ground execution.
+ Lead the operational execution, troubleshooting and resolution of QSE issues in the region, ensuring sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
+ Reduce operational and regulatory risk for the bottler and ensure market compliance with global & OU standards and policies
+ Lead the integrated deployment of QFS and HSE programs across assigned markets, with strong on-site presence at plants, co-packers, warehouses, distribution centers, and market-facing operations.
+ Strengthen quality systems, food safety controls, safety culture, and environmental performance by providing hands-on support, subject matter expertise, and clear execution discipline.
+ Drive proactive risk prevention through robust engineering and system controls, while supporting troubleshooting, incident response, corrective actions, and learning.
+ Enable sustained improvement in QSE maturity by balancing capability building, and continuous improvement across diverse operational environments.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Integrated QFS & HSE Execution**
+ Execute the strategy & overall governance framework developed by OU Central QSE leads for bottling operations, co-packers, and dispensed beverage operations across assigned markets.
+ Ensure the delivery of KPIs set by OU Central QSE
+ Ensure standards, and methodologies are aligned between expectations and execution realities.
+ Ensure consistent implementation and follow up on actions related to KORE, OU-specific, and local regulatory requirements covering ingredients, packaging, processes, finished products, facilities, distribution, and marketplace operations.
**Capability Development & Culture**
+ Collaborate with QSE OU driving QSE culture transformation, embedding quality, food safety, safety and environment as core values across the market.
+ Support QSE OU to identify gaps at the region and build bottler capability through coaching, training, workshops, and structured development plans, including KORE updates, lessons learned, Call to Action, and risk management.
+ Act as a change agent to progressively elevate QSE maturity across markets (if applicable) and sites.
**Risk Prevention, Engineering & System Controls**
+ Support QSE OU identification and mitigation of QFS and HSE risks using strong engineering, hardware, and system-based controls.
+ Provide expertise in process validation, machinery / electrical safety, contractor management, hazardous materials, and workplace design.
+ Lead troubleshooting and resolution of QSE issues, ensuring sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
+ Reinforce use of the hierarchy of controls to reduce reliance on behavioural controls alone.
**Incident Management, Learning & Continuous Improvement**
+ Lead investigation and resolution of QFS and HSE incidents, ensuring root causes are identified and addressed.
+ Ensure timely closure of corrective actions, drive effectiveness, and ensure learnings are shared and embedded across sites.
+ Work closely with IMT (incident management team) to ensure timely response of incidents.
+ Act as a liaison between QSE OU and bottler and ensure any critical decision on QSE is aligned with QSE OU policies.
**5. Environmental Performance (Water & Energy)**
+ Partner with bottlers to identify, implement, and track water and energy efficiency initiatives.
+ Monitor effectiveness and impact of environmental initiatives against centrally aligned KPIs and sustainability goals.
+ Support continuous improvement in environmental performance aligned with OU Central QSE priorities.
+ Ensure timely reporting of Environmental data, Periodic review of sampling audits by finance and OU central teams. Ensure timely corrections when needed. Ensure all data submissions for EV and other external audits.
**6. Performance Monitoring & Stakeholder Engagement**
+ Establish regular performance review routines for QFS and HSE KPIs across OU Franchise, Central QSE, bottling operations and co-packers.
+ Maintain strong on-site engagement through regular plant and facility visits, increasing presence during new equipment installation, major issues, or new product launches.
+ Partner with Market Technical Leads, Franchise, TechOps, and bottlers to integrate QSE considerations into business and operational decisions.
+ Influence without authority to drive alignment, execution, and sustained improvement.
**Qualifications & Experience**
+ Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in QFS, HSE, or Technical Operations within FMCG, beverage, or high-risk operational environments.
+ Strong understanding of beverage processing, food safety systems, and safety engineering controls.
+ Experience working across multi-country or franchised/bottler-based systems.
+ Strong stakeholder management and change leadership capability.
