Summary

A strategic business unit of Bell Business Markets, the Bell Public Safety Group (PSG) specializes in the design, build, delivery, and 24/7 support of software dispatching and NG9-1-1 solutions to Public Sector organizations.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of the Bell Public Safety Group, the successful applicant will manage a team of software developers and support specialists in the delivery and maintenance of software solutions and services to our customer base.

We are looking for an innovative, talented, and team-oriented manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and embraces the constant change within the IT industry. 

Key Responsibilities Manage team resources to fulfill the delivery and change management of PSG’s installed base of public safety products and solutions. Manage site support issues and escalations for installed base. Project reporting and schedule tracking for multiple projects utilizing a matrixed pool of resources. Coordinate definition of scope and estimates for customer requested deliverables and target product releases.  Prepare monthly project billing submissions. Invoice tracking and reporting. Develop a solid working relationship with key customer contacts by regular interaction with them, and managing expectations of the products and services delivered and their value through professional, quality customer service. Accountable for chairing regular customer meetings (e.g. status meetings, ticket reviews), taking minutes and action items, discussing issues and progress, and coordinating relevant reports. Working closely with the PSG Management team to identify opportunities for growth, to drive process efficiencies, and to determine business priorities. Ensure all solutions and team practices comply with public sector procurement processes, privacy laws, and security standards.
  Critical Qualifications 7-10 years of Project Management experience in the software and/or IT service delivery with a strong customer focus and solid understanding of how customer requirements dictate service delivery Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience managing software deployments/rollouts   Experience with ERM and workflow tools

Education/Certifications:

College diploma or university degree (preferred) PMP in good standing Preferred Qualifications Understanding of financial management principles Solid organizational and planning skills  Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Excel Mastery of MS Project, SharePoint  Sharp analytical skills  Ability to prioritize and manage competing deliverables for both external customers and internal stakeholders Ability to adhere to tight deadlines  Knowledge of Windows Server and Windows Desktop Operating Systems   Knowledge of Public Safety emergency response environments IT sales experience, proposal experience Experience with GOC contracts Experience with hiring and managing contractor resources Additional Requirements Understanding of software development life cycle methodologies Knowledge of ITIL Familiarity with AI capabilities

Note: Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance from the RCMP (includes a minimum 10-year verifiable history) to work on Police informatics systems, and to work in restricted  access areas related to the position.

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
