The Environmental & Thermal Control Systems (ETCS) Product Line Value Stream Lead (L6 PL VSL) plays a pivotal leadership role in shaping and executing the strategic vision of assigned product lines. As a key driver of performance, innovation, and cross-functional alignment, the L6 PL VSL is responsible for ensuring operational excellence across all phases of the product lifecycle—from early development through full-rate production and sustainment. This role demands a strong, collaborative leader who can break down silos, champion continuous improvement, and proactively manage risk while driving cost efficiencies and margin expansion. The VSL operates with a sense of urgency and accountability, empowering teams, eliminating barriers, and delivering results that directly impact the business's success.

The candidate will need to be a commutable distance from our Windsor Locks, CT location.

What You Will Do

Lead implementation of Product Line Strategy for assigned projectsDrive systemic industrial recovery and performanceEnsure rate readiness and capacity for targeted product familyDrive lessons learned from sustaining programs back into the earlier phases of the life cycleDrive cost reduction / margin expansion across the product lineWork with Business Development, Customer Facing VSLs, Advanced Technology, Operations, and Supply chain to ensure Technology & Industrial Road Maps are strategically alignedLive the values for the ETCS PL Value StreamEmphasizes collaboration internally and with external customers - eliminates “Us vs. Them” dynamicsDemonstrates ownership & urgency - team members are willing to go outside of their swim lane (with coordinated intent) to ensure critical tasks get doneEmphasizes importance of managing / communicating Risks, Issues, and Opportunities proactivelyPromotes the growth of organization E2C2 through continuous improvement and talent developmentEliminate barriers / road blocks for teams to enable them to hit targets. Ensure teams are escalating where appropriate to proactively mitigate emerging issues & risks.  Escalate issues across the department as needed to help teams be successful.      Ensure appropriate communications are provided to executive for any ongoing or emerging issues, and risks.Leverage data and inputs from the team to charter & prioritize projects that improve our OTD and/or grow our ROS.Accountability: The L6 PL VSL is accountable to achieve the results for the projects assigned to them.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
