What is the opportunity?
As Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), you will be a strategic and analytically rigorous individual supporting the planning, forecasting, and performance management reporting for the Commercial Credit business. Acting as a strategic co-pilot for the Commercial Credit business and being the lead person accountable for the preparation of business and product financials relating to annual plans, quarterly forecasts in addition to monthly and quarterly actual reporting, this individual will endeavor to drive financial insights that enable profitable growth and thought leadership for ongoing decision support. The role demands the ability to synthesize financial outcomes and insights to identify risks and opportunities and actionable strategies. All of which is vital to supporting the business in driving superior long-term bank performance.
What you will do?
Lead role for end-to-end Performance Management for the Commercial Credit portfolio, including the preparation for month-end and quarter-end reporting, forecasting, annual planning and 5-year strategic outlooksResponsible for providing timely and insightful analysis and reporting of financials to Business Credit executives aiding them in making business decisionsResponsible to produce the monthly and quarterly operating results for executive managementFirst point of contact for Business Credit for any Finance related inquiry or issuesDevelop and support strategic business case analysis and modelingPartner with Financial Control and Product Control to uphold the financial integrity of reported results and support any necessary reconciliations related to reporting variancesBuild and maintain financial planning models to support all volume and revenue modeling including net interest income and net-interest marginMonitor and explain key business drivers including volumes, spreads, and feesTranslate financial insights into clear narratives and recommendations for executive-level reportingAd-hoc financial analysis for the various product groupsKey member of Canadian Banking Financial Advisory teamWhat do you need to succeed?
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred)5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Commercial Banking, or Credit RiskStrong executive presence and ability to provide to make the complex simpleWorking in a matrix model, execute with a high degree of confidence and collaboration with partnersAbility to manage many competing priorities within tight timelines, prioritize and work autonomouslyProven ability to build trust with business partners and finance peers working cross-functionally to get things doneDemonstrated experience preparing financial content for senior managementExceptional financial modeling, data analysis, and communication skills.Previous track record working in a financial institutionHigh level of integrity, business acumen, and sound judgmentExceptional financial modelling skillsExecute with a high sense of urgencyStrong attention to detailExperience with PowerBI, Tableau, Thinkcell, EPM, PeopleSoftJob Skills
