Role and Responsibilities

Position Summary:
As a key member of the Samsung LA28 Olympic & Paralympic preparations team, this Operations Leader will play a critical role in ensuring Samsung’s efficient and effective representation as a key partner throughout the event. Reporting to the Senior Director of the Samsung LA28 Olympic Office, this leader will oversee communication, reporting, operational excellence, and quick problem-solving to support Samsung’s strategic objectives during the LA28 Games.

Note: This is a fixed-contract with an estimated term of 36 months ending in September of 2028

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily communications with LA28’s various departments, including Client Services, Accommodations, Ticketing, Showcasing, Media Center/Operations, Venues, Digital, OOH, Finance, etc.Compile and report all information received from these departments to ensure seamless coordinationReview the overall hotels in Los Angeles and LA28’s contracted hotel list, arrange hotel inspections, prepare inspection reports, and manage Samsung’s proprietary Accommodation Management System (AMS) for tracking hotel operations for Olympic Partners.Oversee Samsung’s proprietary Competition Ticket Portal (CTP) to manage ticket allocations for Olympic PartnersCommunicate with Samsung subsidiaries to resolve inquiries and ensure smooth operationsManage monthly payments and billing, including the submission of purchase orders for equipment and suppliersSupport research on the Los Angeles landscape, including hotels, restaurants, key traffic areas, and event locationsAssist with B2B contacts preparation work as neededSupport the approval process for Olympic-related assets, including logos, marks, designations, and other branding elements.

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field8+ years of experience in global Sports marketing or Olympic marketing (e.g., Marketing Group of Sports Team, Sports Marketing Agency, Sponsorship team within a company, etc.)Strong understanding of hotel operations, ticket operations and hospitality managementExceptional relationship management and influencing abilitiesExcellent project management and communications skillsFamiliarity with consumer behavior trends and strategies to enhance brand preferenceStrong event management and presentation skills to influence high-level audiencesProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ticketing tools

CALIFORNIA

The salary range for this role, for candidates based in California, is expected to be between $175,000 and $185,000.  Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
