This position will be responsible for the execution of Market Access strategies including reimbursement and evidence generation to support access specific to the Edwards' BU portfolio of innovative therapeutic solutions for structural heart diseases.
The successful candidate will drive synergies across the assigned BU/BU's and foster strong internal and external relationships to achieve market access goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• 1. Convene regularly with the business unit team: Public Affairs, Medical Affairs, Marketing and Clinical Affairs to ensure alignment of Market Access (MA) goals and objectives
• 2. Responsible for evidence strategy and access submission strategy to articulate and enhance the value message associated with our new technologies and communicate to relevant stakeholders
• 3. Collaborate with global GHER partners to develop / obtain necessary tools which can include, GVD’s, evidence, and economic tools
• 4. Coordinate with Government Affairs team on monitoring the pricing and reimbursement policy changes and shape the policy to increase therapy awareness, improve market access, and achieve reimbursement goals
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in in a life science, health economics, health policy, or related field, 5 years experience Medtech, pharma, related Health Economics, Reimbursement or Market Access expertise with demonstrated success. Required or
Master's Degree or equivalent in MBA or MPH Preferred
Additional Skills:
• Previous experience in, or strong working knowledge of, medical device industry, especially with functional responsibility in health economics outcomes research and reimbursement planning and program implementation
• Experience with Japan market access environment and ability to effectively communicate and incorporate regional requirements in overall strategic plans
• Understand key public and private payer policy infrastructure, payment methodologies coding and coverage; health policy trends, and current business challenges
• Communicate complicated matters in a simple, structured way to internal and external customers
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially presentation development
• Exceptional project management skills
• Strong business acumen, analytical skills and experience working with various internal business partners (especially Sales, Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory, Legal, and Government Affairs staff) to provide insight into key market access issues
• Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
